Cats LOVE to jump up on things and get to higher areas. If you don't already have a "cat tree," I would highly recommend you invest in one if you are truly going to try to keep your cats off your furniture. Give her something she CAN be on; spray with catnip spray or sprinkle with catnip. Most of them include scratching posts as well, which you should have a few of throughout your home to prevent her from scratching your carpet or furniture. [Nature's Miracle Pet Block](https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/natures-miracle-pet-block-repellent-spray) or similar product may curb the jumping. I am not certain its safe to use on wood, though. Another thing you can do to deter cats from jumping up onto surfaces is to place aluminum foil on them, they don't like the noise or feel when they jump onto foil. You can also try [Sticky Paws](https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/sticky-paws-on-a-roll-for-cats) which are double sided sticky sheets--they don't like

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! I really like a product called Feliway which can help reduce stress in situations like this. You may use this product in the environment as a diffuser or you can use the spray in anything that has contact with him. This should help make this move less stressful. Good luck and have a good night!

Most cats will eventually settle down and adapt to life indoors. Her set up sounds wonderful and I'm glad you have taken the time to get everything in order for her. Here are a few things you can do which may also help. Try enriching his environment. Here is a great article about cat's instinctual needs: https://www.petcoach.co/article/why-every-cat-needs-a-place-to-climb/ Use a Feliway diffuser, set aside 30 minutes a day for vigorous play and/or switch the food to Royal Canin Calm (when Mimi is 1 year old) . You may also try feeding her from a food puzzle and/or hiding food around the house for her to find. The veterinarian can also prescribe medications which can help with behavior if needed. I hope this helps and please feel free to post any additional questions.

I don't know if this is what you are looking for but here is an amazon link that provides a few different options. https://www.amazon.com/cat-window-seats/s?ie=UTF8&page=1&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Acat%20window%20seats Since your one cat is 22lbs you may need to secure a window seat a little more because of the weight. I would think about getting a cat tower for in front of the window. You can do something like the: https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Activity-Scratching-Posts-Medium/dp/B017WXWZ6Y/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?s=pet-supplies&ie=UTF8&qid=1511407650&sr=1-1-spons&keywords=cat+tower&psc=1 I hope this helps and thank you for using Boop by Petco!

Mia will not likely get depressed as long as you set aside time to play with her and give her love and affection. Cats will do well in a small apartment because they aren’t as active as dogs. May sure to get a cat tree for her to climb and plenty of toys. I hope this is helpful and please feel free to post any additional questions.
