Yes, I recommend feeding twice daily and he should have a good quality senior food. Often feeding some wet food will help him feel less hungry. You can also give a Kong toy filled with cheese spread or peanut butter which will keep him busy and may help to reduce the barking. Thanks for using Boop by Petco to help you care for Sam

Congrats on your new dog, Paps is very handsome! He should be fed twice a day, and I would feed him according to the instructions on the food package. Divide the recommended daily allotment into two equal servings, and feed him morning and evening. Now if that's what you are doing and he seems very hungry, then divide the daily allotment into three portions and feed him morning, noon, and evening. Be sure to feed him a high quality dog food brand, as those will have the best ingredients to help keep him full and satisfied. Brands I recommend include Royal Canin, Hill's Science diet, Purina ProPlan, and Iams. I hope this helps, enjoy your handsome boy :-)

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! He is adorable! It is not necessarily uncommon for a dog to not want to eat for 1-2 days when adjusting to a new environment. However, that should improve quickly. If he is otherwise fine with a normal activity level, you can continue to monitor for the next 24 hours. If no improvement, have him evaluated by your veterinarian. It could be that he is painful following his surgery. Theoretically, yes, there are things that can be transmitted to your other dogs. Good luck and have a good day!

Dogs will often act hungry but that doesn't mean she is hungry. As long as her body weight is good and she is not over/under weight then keep feeding her the same amount you have been. Pet obesity is a huge problem so it is best if you don't overfeed her. If you want to see if she will eat raw baby carrot or raw green beans you give her those as "treats" so she feels like she is getting something it won't be adding a lot of calories.
