Thank you for submitting your question and congratulations on your first dog! Treats should not comprise more than 10% of the diet. They should be given in small amounts. If you are giving Milk Bones, by the tiny size and only give several a day. Most dogs in this country are overweight. Being strict with his diet from the start with help to prevent this from occurring with him. As far as the best chew, it is based on the individual dog. The chew needs to be something he enjoys, but more importantly something he cannot break pieces off and swallow. This can become a surgery to remove. I hope this information helps!

Hi Diana, I have not yet tried the Nylabone Healthy Edibles with my dogs, but I just looked at the ingredients and think they might be a nice treat for Joey. Certainly, I always recommend monitoring a dog with any edible chew because they will sometimes bite off too large of a chunk, but I suspect that will be less of a problem with the Healthy Edibles than some of the other chew options on the market. If Joey has a problem with allergies, my favorite chews are Honest Kitchen Beams (https://www.thehonestkitchen.com/beams?gclid=Cj0KEQjwmK3OBRDKjN-L55---_UBEiQAOL6t1ONBCfGAKhdZ3BxXNOpy4Q4FLZFPR0lX79hOaIj9CO0aApIM8P8HAQ) and Sam's Yams (sweet potato treats). I hope that was helpful! Thanks for using Boop by Petco.

Hello, and thank you for using Boop by Petco. It's great that you're thinking about Teddy's oral health! It is best to brush Teddy's teeth daily using a toothpaste formulated for dogs. There are lots of good options, so try a few out and see what flavors Teddy likes, but I recommend an enzymatic toothpaste. Here's an example: https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/sentry-petrodex-enzymatic-toothpaste-for-dogs-5000644--1 It's also beneficial for Teddy to chew on things that are meant to massage his gums and help work tarter off his teeth. I prefer rawhides that are coated in enzymes to help combat tarter, such as these: https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/virbac-cet-oral-hygiene-rawhide-dog-chews?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&adpos=1o1&scid=scplp1438999&sc_intid=1438999&cm_mmc=PLA-GG-_-PTC_P_BND_PLA-GG_FY17_SCShopping-TM-_-Non+VIP-_-92700027187667220&kwid=p27187667220&device=c&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI2PLt-eSv1wIViLrACh0JkwyJEAQYASABEgLS3PD_BwE My own opinion

My personal preference, completed unrelated to Boop by Petco or Petco, would be Cosequin ( http://www.cosequin.com/dogs/ ) or Dasuquin ( http://www.dasuquin.com/en/products/#dog ). Both are made by Nutromax Labs.

I would avoid it. When dogs have bad food allergies, it's best to only stick with the food that prevents them from having symptoms. Adding in another treat could cause Charli's allergies to flare up and have symptoms again. It's best to keep giving her the hydrolyzed treats. I hope this helps!
