A shiny, glossy coat is beautiful on a dog. What’s not so beautiful is dandruff: white flakes of dead skin cells.

Oatmeal shampoo is a great shampoo for dogs. I would recommend using this. I don't know what type of breed she is but this shampoo is good for any breed. I would just make sure it is for dogs, since human shampoo can dry out a dogs skin. Thank you for using Boop by Petco.

It depends on what you are using the shampoo for. If it is just maintenance baths I recommend an oatmeal based pet shampoo. You can get one at any pet store. Do not use a human shampoo as you can dry out their skin. If Honey is having a skin problem I recommend a shampo from a veterinarian, depending on the issue. Thank you for using Boop by Petco!

You will want to find something that has oatmeal and possibly even hydrocortisone in it. There are many brands. If you don't mind buying online duoxo calming is one of my favorite shampoos for itchy skin.

The "hot" oils are most toxic to dogs. These include peppermint, cinnamon, oregano, clove, wintergreen, thyme and birch oils. Tea tree (melaleuca) oil is also very toxic to dogs. A dog's skin pH is more neutral than human skin pH, 7.5 compared to human 5.5. For this reason, most dog shampoos range between 6.5 to 7.5 pH to prevent dry skin or irritation. The addition of conditioners and emollients also helps.
