Bacterial infections need antibiotic eye drops. Eye gene is a drop for redness, not infection. Additionally, these solutions can burn the eyes. I recommend to have Snowball examined by the veterinarian for the correct medication. I hope this helps.

Hello and thank you for posting your concerns regarding Genie. Genie is quite the old man! 10.5yrs old is a great age for a dog his size. With the description you have provided me with, it sounds like Genie is dealing with a lot of age related problems. There are multiple things you can do to try and help Genie out with any arthritic pain he may be experiencing. As for the weakness in the hind end, this may be due to muscle loss which is most likely due to him not using his legs as much as he used to. Managing his level of pain and getting him back on his feet may help re-establish some of this muscle loss but in my experience, there will most likely always be a degree of muscle atrophy due to the chronicity of the arthritis. I would consult with your veterinarian to discuss options as most of them you will need to get from your vet to manage the arthritis. The areas of hair loss you have listed are somewhat consistent with a flea dermatitis. If Genie is not on a preventative, I would say that this is the most likely cause of the problem. The decrease in activity level could be from an overwhelming number of flea bites resulting in an anemia. Other causes of hair loss are from other allergies, primary or secondary dermatologic diseases, immune mediated diseases, or endocrinologic problems. Depending on how old Genie is, it might be in her best interest to be seen by a veterinarian and to have some diagnostic blood work drawn up. Hope this makes sense.

Poor Geni! She could be suffering from arthritis, which would lead to a reluctance to move. I would take her into the vet for an exam. The vet can confirm if she does have arthritis, and can prescribe some pain medication for her if they feel it is appropriate it. If she does have arthritis, I recommend giving her glucosamine or chondroitin sulfate supplements. They provide the necessary nutrients for cartilage repair and function. Use of them helps relieve some of the symptoms of arthritis.

Hi, he could have a urinary tract infection so I would recommend to have him checked over so he can have medications to stop the sickness and something to clear the infection. Hope Geno gets better soon !
