I agree the furminator is sharp and doesn’t work well on lots of dogs. I use a comb and also a slicker brush. Grooming daily will help and won’t be as irritating to your dog. Thanks for using Boop by Petco to help you care for Jake.

A fuminator is a special comb used on dogs, it can help with fur shedding and can be found in most pet shops. furminator is actually a brand name, they have several products, this is the one i usually recommend: http://www.furminator.com/products/brush/brushes-and-combs/adjustable-dematter-tool.aspx

Thanks for the photo but it’s a bit hard to tell. I think it looks normal but when I enlarge the photo it gets blurry. Yes, you can use some wipes to see if it helps. I’d recommend you use these specific ones: ( https://www.chewy.com/malacetic-wet-wipes-dogs-cats-100/dp/111408 ) Hope this helps. Best wishes!

I would recommend bathing him every 2-4 weeks as needed to prevent overdrying of the skin. An oatmeal based puppy shampoo is great to use. Then in between baths you can use puppy wipes which are found at your local pet store. This works wel to my overdry your pet but also keep him smelling fresh. : ) I hope this helps!

Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! Poor Pocky! I would be sure he doesn't have fleas or a skin infection. If he does treat the fleas as that will relieve the scratching. If the has red crusty bumps he may have an allergy to the food or environment or a skin infection. If that is the case it is best to see a vet. Otherwise I really like water-less shampoo to clean animals that can't be bathed. https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/furminator-my-furst-waterless-kitten-shampoo Have a good day!
