Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! Luckily the small flies and gnats do not harm or bother the dogs. You can try a repellent product like Advantix that is approved for dogs and to repel flies. I do not recommend spraying OFF on pets. Personally I think it they do not bother the dog to avoid excessive product usage. Have a good day!

You can mix organic, raw unfiltered apple cider vinegar in equal parts with water and spray lightly on the pups. Also, remove any stool, food or anything else that may attract flies to the area. Use a fly trap or "fly bag", purchased from any hardware store or home improvement store, to draw flies away from the area and trap them.

Have Chico examined by your veterinarian. He may need antibiotics and anti-inflammatories. Place an e-collar (cone) on him to prevent licking or chewing of the areas. You can use a fly repellant such as SWAT around the site to keep flies off. It can be purchased in most home improvement stores or farm supply stores. Use fly strips or traps to catch and kill flies in the area. Remove anything that will attract flies such as trash, standing water or feces.

You can wash Day-z with warm water and Dawn dish soap, and comb out all the fleas, but that will not prevent her from getting more. You need a flea treatment in order kill and prevent fleas from occurring again. Things you read on the internet such as apple cider vinegar do not work at all to kill or prevent fleas. I can give you a good one. First, I would give her Capstar. It's a one time pill that starts killing fleas within 30 minutes. Then follow up with a spot on treatment, such as Advantage or Revolution. This is a treatment that has to be used once a month. You will also have to disinfect the environment. Wash her bedding in hot soapy water, and vacuum the furniture and carpet surfaces. You can use a spray to kill fleas in the house, such as Indorex, or a flea bomb would work well to kill the fleas in the home. I hope this helps!

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Moon. Frontline and Seresto are both good products. They utilize different drugs. It is unlikely that both products have failed. The problem is likely the environment. The majority of the flea eggs are in the environment not on the dog. The carpet will need to be vacuumed at least once per day. All of her bedding (or yours if she sleeps with you) needs to washed in hot water. The yard can also be a source of contamination and may need to be treated as well. Wild animals or neighborhood cats can carry fleas and continually reinfection her. You can teach her to go potty on a potty pad inside as that may help. I hope this information helps!
