Thanks for using Boop by Petco! What an exciting time. You would need to start by getting a high quality diet (I like the Purina Pro Plan diets though there are plenty to choose from). Also, a dog bed and toys will be important as well. I recommend that you check with your veterinarian to get him in for initiation of vaccines and to start other preventative care medications such as flea and tick preventatives and heartworm preventatives. Good luck and enjoy your pup!

Adopting a new dog is so much fun! Whenever bringing a new dog into the home, it should be done slowly with the existing animals already there to make the transition smoothly. The new dog should be kept separated from the other animals when home alone to avoid any problems, and their interactions should be monitored when you are home so you can separate them at any problem. Shelter dogs should be taken care of just like any other dog: Fed twice a day, make sure they are up t

I will put links below on how to care for a new puppy, but please call a vet to make her an appointment. You can search online for an updated edition of the book in question. Sites such as Amazon ( www.amazon.com ) or the AKC Shop ( https://shop.akc.org ) may have it or a similar publication. "The New Complete Dog Book" ( https://shop.akc.org/products/the-new-complete-dog-book ) may be something you would be interested in.

My personal (and totally independent of Boop by Petco or Petco) recommendation would be the FitBark2. It is small, durable and links to my FitBit. It is at the top of the list here too: https://www.caninejournal.com/dog-activity-monitor/
