Great question! Typically cats are not really big drinkers, but I'm a big fan of the cat water fountains. It provides a continual source of fresh water, and it actually encourages cats to drink more. I have one for my four cats, and they happily drink from it daily. It's a good idea to mix some water in with Milo's food to get some more water into him, and you can also give him canned food. That has a higher moisture content than dry food. If you are interested in getting him a water fountain, you can find them in pet stores and online. I hope this helps!

Thanks for using Boop by Petco. Some cats do prefer to drink from running water so a pet fountain may be a good idea. But if she is drinking more than usual a visit to the vet is needed for possible bloodwork to rule out things like kidney disease.

This is just a personal preference. For some reason she may feel like it tastes better there. You can try switching her water bowl to a ceramic water bowl to see if it makes a difference. Also, changing to a water fountain will also sometimes help. She isn't the only cat that does this. A lot of cats also require to leave a sink dripping so they can drink from that. Silly cats!

You can try some other type of canned food. Sometimes their tastes change and they decided they don't like what they had before. Cats can be picky. The other way to increase water consumption is to get a drinking fountain. Many cats like to drink from running water and will actually drink more if running water is constantly available. I would suggest you try this. Petco (or any large pet store) has a wide variety or drinking fountains: https://www.petco.com/shop/SearchDisplay?categoryId=&storeId=10151&catalogId=10051&langId=-1&sType=SimpleSearch&resultCatEntryType=2&showResultsPage=true&searchSource=Q&pageView=&beginIndex=0&pageSize=24&fromPageValue=search&searchTerm=drinking+fountain Hope this helps. Best wishes!

I would feed a small amount of wet food twice daily with added water in it. Continue to leave out fresh water and you can try a cat water fountain too. That circulates water and encourages cats to drink more. Most cats will drink what they need daily so I’m not overly concerned about this if he’s acting normal, has a shiny coat, and is a normal weight. If he’s lethargic, thin or not grooming well then he may have an underlying medical problem that needs treatment. Thanks for using Boop by Petco to help you care for Topher.
