Dachshunds tend to be snugglers, and also love to be buried (like under a blanket!). I'd look into a dog bed (or even a large cat bed) that has a [clamshell or hooded design](https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/harmony-hooded-cave-cat-bed-in-grey) that she can crawl into and be covered up by it. Hey do y'all know the best type of dog house for an outdoor dog so they can stay warm or put some hay or cedar chips in there to also help with fleas?
There are many things to consider for keeping an outdoor dog comfortable. Any type of shelter will do as long as it provides enough room (for the dog to stand up and turn around), protects the dog from the weather (good roof and sound walls) and the door is situated such that the prevailing winds do not blow right in. Straw bedding is helpful during the cold weather to help the dog maintain some heat in the house. Fleas are better controlled with medications such as Frontline, Seresto collar, NexGard, and many others. If your dog is a short-haired dog, pay close attention during the cold months to make sure he is able to keep warm. There are also coats for dogs that can help! Thank you for using pet coach.

Our dog ate filling from his bed yesterday between 4-5pm PT. Eating
Hello and welcome to Boop by Petco. Eating filling from a bed will do one of two things, one- it can be pooped out with no complications, two- it can cause a blockage in the gut that requires surgery to remove. I recommend monitoring Buddy closely, if he is eating and pooping just watch his poop for the bedding, but if he is eating and pooping normally for 3 days it has passed through the system. If Buddy has ANY signs of not wanting to eat, vomiting, weakness, sore in his belly, or even just a decreased appetite, then I would get x-rays or an ultrasound ASAP. Hopefully he poops it out soon! Our little precious has been lately sleeping in our closet. She did it in the past but not so often and nowadays she found a way to get in it and sleep in it. Is it normal for her? Should I be worried? Also do you have any recommendations for crates
Bella is possibly seeking warmth, comfort and darkness in the closet. Provided this is safe place for her and you are comfortable with it, I do not see a problem with her sleeping there. Regarding the crates, my personal preference is for plastic crates for a dog of Bella's size. The most important thing in choosing a crate is to make sure that it is large enough for her to stand up and turn around.

That set up looks perfect for Kitter. Thanks for including pictures. The reality is that cats sleep when we are at work, so my only concern at 14 years old is that he is able to comfortably jump up to the second level in order to access his bed. As long as he is able to make that jump easily, I think he will be very comfortable in that cage while he gets acclimated to his new home. Good luck!
