An enzymatic cleaner such as Nature's Miracle is the best for removing urine. It works by breaking down the actual urine particles to help remove smell and reduce staining. You can then use another cleaner as needed. Be sure to test any spots first with the enzymatic cleaner to make sure it doesn't harm what you are cleaning. Clothing and other loose fabrics can also be washed.

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! For the floors, you may use bleach in a 1:30 dilution (meaning 1 part of bleach and 30 parts of water). This needs to be left in the surface for at least 10-15 minutes to be effective. For the furniture and clothing, you may use steam-cleaning as these viruses do not tolerate high temperatures well. Good luck!

Hello. You can never go wrong with dilute bleach. One (1) part bleach to nine (9) parts water is effective for just about all viruses & bacteria. Wipe the entire cage down with the dilute bleach, let things sit for about 5-10 minutes & then just wipe dry. No need to rinse. Either replace the litter box with a new one or soak it in the bleach water along with all bowls & dishes. The dishes should be rinsed with water before drying. New bedding will kept your kitten healthy & safe. Thanks for using Boop by Petco.

Seeing that your kitty is 13 years old, it is a given that Candy has arthritis in her hips and possibly elbows. This makes squatting hard and painful and it is likely that she tries to hold it as long as she can to avoid the pain and then loses the poop or has to go wherever she just is at that moment. Try making a low entrance to her litter boxes or put steps up to the rim, to make it easier for her to go in. Have your kitty checked for arthritis and ask your vet to prescribe pain medication. The smell on the couch may be hard to clean as the pee probably entered the fabric and dribbled inside. Usually an enzymatic cleaner available from your pet shop takes care of that.
