For dogs with dental disease I recommend giving antibiotics for one week every month on a regular basis. That will help control the plaque and periodontal disease. You can contact your veterinarian to inform them about her reaction and they may be able to give her anti-nausea medications to control her signs. No, I would not recommend this. Clindamycin is a prescription medication that should only be given under the direction of a veterinarian who has examined your vet and made a diagnosis. In addition, clindamycin would not be a particularly good choice for the treatment of kennel cough - its spectrum of activity doesn't cover the bacteria that are usually involved in respiratory infections in dogs.
