It's just designed to appear to humans. Brands of food that I recommend include Royal Canin, Hill's Science Diet, Purina Pro Plan, and Iams (Eukanuba). I recommend these brands because they run their own food trials, meet AAFCO feeding standards, and have veterinary nutritionists on staff. They are the only four brands that have these things. I feed my dog Iams and she loves it.

My personal preference, completed unrelated to Boop by Petco or Petco, would be Cosequin ( http://www.cosequin.com/dogs/ ) or Dasuquin ( http://www.dasuquin.com/en/products/#dog ). Both are made by Nutromax Labs.

Royal Canin diets are all formulated with pre-biotics which help support a health gut bacteria. You could add in an additional probiotic but you may not see a huge amount of benefits BUT it will not hurt anything. Purina makes a very nice probiotic called FortiFlora and that would be the one I recommend. The Bio-Cardio may be beneficial but to the best of my knowledge, no testing has been done to know for sure if this is effective or not. Royal Canin does make a diet specific for Cavaliers that has additives for heart heath. They also make a diet for pets with heart disease or even just heart murmurs. They have done some studies indicating that these diets do impact heart health. Your fatty acid supplement does help to maintain heart health through its natural anti-inflammatory properties. I would recommend to look into the other diets and discuss with your vet if these may be good option for Chloe. I hope this helps and thank you for using Boop by Petco.

If they know the houses are there, which it seems like they do since they use them periodically, they will go in them if/when they want to. I would not be too concerned about them staying out in the rain. As long as they have a warm, dry shelter to retreat to they should be fine. Since they are prone to fighting I would recommend that you have 2 separate houses for them and put them apart so they won’t feel like they are in close quarters with each other. You may also want to make the houses more comfortable by adding some bedding, blankets or shavings inside. And as for the carrots, these are a great snack! Most dogs love them so you shouldn’t have any issue trying to get them to eat them. If you act very excited when giving them this ‘treat’ then they will be excited too. I think small baby carrots work best for treats. I hope this helps. Thanks for using Boop by Petco. Best of luck.

Hi there! Harley is absoultely adorable! In my opinion, any of the premium brands (Hill’s, Purina, Royal Canin) are great! They are all devloped with veterinary research and focus on providing the most balanced and nutritious diet for pets. Thus, really eliminating the need for a “vitamin” supplement like we take. With that said there are supplements that you can add to Harley’s diet, such as those for joints and coat. Harley’s vet will be the best person to give you dosage and product recommendations (we’re a little limited online, since I have not examined Harley before). I feed my Rhodesian Ridgeback the Purina Pro-Plan Salmon diet, but it really boils down to what Harley likes and what aggrees with her. Sorry it won’t let me post a picture of the food, but any of the brands I mentioned above can be found at your local PetCo. Hope this helps! Happy New Year to you and Harley.
