Nope. He sounds bored! I would recommend giving him some appropriate dog toys that he can play with. You can look for puzzle toys where you put some of his kibble in and he has to figure out how to get them out. The everlasting treat toy from the brand starmark is another great recommendation. https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/star-mark-everlasting-treat-wheeler

I certainly understand and sympathize with your situation. I have a young dog as well who is always bored. One of my cats will play with him occasionally, but it has not helped his overall energy, so I doubt adding a kitten will help you. I have a few suggestions for you that have helped me. One thing that people think of first is treats that keep them busy for a longer period of time. This does seem to help. You can use long lasting treats like a Kong filled with peanut butter, yogurt, treats, etc and frozen so it takes longer for him to eat. My dog also really like Bully Sticks which I also freeze to make them last a little longer. Keep him mentally and physically busy during meal times. I love using a feeding balls like a Buster Cube or Tricky Treat ball to feed meals in. It keeps him busy for at least 5-10 minutes at each meal and requires him to work. And speaking of working. I have found that my dog is the most tired after we have done a good round of training. Even if yo

Hi there and thank you for using Boop by Petco to address your concern. I would recommend getting her used to her crate more frequently, even if you are leaving the house for 5 minutes. Providing plenty of toys for her to play with such as the Kong toys filled with peanut butter may keep her occupied for a period of time. Below are some recommended products that you can find online quite easily. I would try these as well and see if this helps alleviate the separation anxiety. If there is no improvement and it does not resolve, I would discuss other medical options with your veterinarian. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further! 1. You could try to give her a Kong filled with treats or other types of toys that that dispense treats when playing with. You can even freeze the Kong with a peanut butter/ treat mixture so it takes longer for the dog to eat.

It's great that you're trying to plan ahead and make sure you're asking good questions! I'm not sure what breed you're looking at, but in general, I would definitely consider saving up a bit to purchase a puppy from a reputable breeder if you can. Even if the purchase price is a bit higher than a puppy from an online ad, getting a pup from a more reliable source can save you a lot of heartache (and money!) down the line by avoiding costly health issues and behavioral problems due to poor breeding. If you do opt to go ahead and purchase a puppy through on ad online, I would talk to the breeder/seller about the following things: 1) Make sure the puppies are AKC registered. Even if you want "just a pet", no responsible breeder would be breeding dogs that aren't AKC registered. It's a big red flag that you're dealing with a puppy mill or really careless backyard breeder. 2) Ask what health clearances the puppies' parents have had, and ask to see documentation. Depending on the br
