Nikki is adorable! Thanks for including pictures! Yes, PetSmile is expensive, but it is one of the only toothpastes to actually be approved by the Veterinary Oral Health Council. Here is a list of their approved products. http://www.vohc.org/VOHCAcceptedProductsTable_Dogs.pdf PetSmile is what I use with my dogs. (Last year they ran a 25% off sale before Christmas, so I stocked up!) Yes, it is fine to use Dawn on Nikki's feet daily, but I suspect any gentle cleaner would be fine as well. You may have to experiment to find the best shampoo for her. I have been very pleased with EarthBath products, so you might want to try their Oatmeal and Aloe shampoo for itch relief. https://earthbath.com/product/oatmeal-aloe-shampoo/ There are also prescription itch relief shampoo and conditioner products if needed that you can talk to your vet about. My tiny male yorkies wont let any groomer or myself near his face or paws to trim his hair. He has curly hair and it grows down into his eyes and up into his mouth and sometimes his paws are out of control.....any suggestions on what I can do to get
Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! I would ask your vet for oral (pills) sedatives to try at home. I would also purchase a muzzle to use so he can not bite you. Maybe with the right combination of sedatives and muzzle you will be able to trim around his face and do his nails. Sadly there is a small group of dogs that need injectable sedatives to have their nails done at the Vet. You can also practice with the oral sedatives, using yummy treats and gently play around his face and feet with the hope to desensitize him. It would take time and practice. You can also hire a trainer or a Veterinary behaviorist. I hope this helps and I wish you and Baby Bum the best!

Hello and thank you for using pet coach to address your concern. It sounds as though Maggie may have an allergy based on your description. I would recommend bathing her in a shampoo such as Douxo PS calm shampoo and bathe twice weekly until the resolved. I would also recommend using a spray such as malacetic conditioning spray and apply to the area until resolved. Welactin omega 3 fish oil and essential 6 spot on by dermoscent are a couple of other products I recommend which can be found online easily. I hope this helps! If there is no improvement then I would discuss other options with a veterinarian that may provide more relief using prescription medications if needed. My puppy won't let me touch her to clean her eye spills and to clip her nails. She tries to bite me
Unfortunately this takes time and patience. I would play with her feet on a regular basis and constantly touch her in these areas to desensitize her. You can always try a calming supplement such as NaturVet Quiet Moments Calm Chews with Melatonin to see if this helps for the nail trims. I hope this helps! I'm glad you are so pleased with Buddy's grooming! Yes, you can take him into them sooner if he needs a trim with his eyebrows, beard, and nails, but he may not need all the services offered. You can just request having those three things done. I hope this helps :-)
