Hi there! Urine marking on humans is definitely not as common as marking on objects in the environment, but sometimes does happen. This behavior is usually related to stress, anxiety, or over-arousal. More information about the specific situations that tend to trigger the marking behavior would be needed in order to make any specific suggestions. The same is true for "being very defiant," as I'm not sure exactly what you mean by this. Feel free to post again with more information, or request a consultation with one of us for a more in-depth discussion if you prefer.

Any change in elimination behavior, especially when coupled with a change n odor and color of the urine, could indicate a urinary tract infection. I recommend getting Link seen by your vet as soon as possible for an exam and urinalysis. Dark orange could mean the urine is highly concentrated or there could be blood present.

I hate to hear that about CC. Some cats are bullies and will bully certain humans or other cats. You have a few options. Your best option would be to work with a cat behaviorist. This individual will often come to your house and watch interactions and then teach you how to modify the behavior. Another option is to pick up a few books about cat behavior and start reading. This is not an uncommon issue and you can often find very helpful ways to modify the behavior and also learn how to read cat body language. You can also try feeding a special prescription diet made by Royal Canin called Calm. It affects the serotonin levels in the brain. Make sure CC gets 30 minutes of vigorous exercise a day as this will help to make him more tired and less reactive. Your veterinarian may also be able to provide medication to help c

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! This is possibly because she smells differently. I recommend a product called Feliway which can help decrease stress and anxiety associated with environmental changes and stressors. You may find this online or at your local pet store. It usually works great in this type of scenarios. Good luck and have a great day!

Hello! It sounds like you're already off to a great start by leaving him alone when he gets too rough- many people don't know to do that! I love the product Feliway for anxious or grumpy kitties. It's a natural feline pheromone that helps to calm cats. It comes in plug-ins, sprays, and collar forms, so whichever works best for your situation. I also like to get people to feed their cats outside of bowls if they can. Cats are natural hunters, and making them work for their food is great mental exercise for them. Putting part or all of his food into different toys so that he has to spend time working for it is excellent exercise for the body and brain and may help with some pent up energy and aggression problems. I hope that's helpful! Thanks for using Boop by Petco!
