Does storing treats in a sealed glass jar cause them to get harder? Because I just opened up a new bag of Fromm treats and they easily broke in half where as previously when I was storing them in a glass jar I was not able to break them in half. Ive
The glass jar may not seal as well as the original packaging in this case. I doubt that it would cause Chloe any harm to feed her these treats, as they are likely just stale. However, I agree that a general rule of thumb is that treats are best fed when they are fresh and able to be broken.

I have biscuits made with whole wheat flour and other ingredients. How long will they be fresh for once opened? Is 2 years an ok amount of time to keep opened treats? (In a sealed container)
Properly stored, they may last about 8-12 months before becoming stale or contaminated. An air tight container in a dry, dark location is best. Freezing may extend shelf life, especially regarding homemade biscuits. I would hesitate to use biscuits that are two years old regardless of storage method.

Great question! I always keep my dog food in an airtight plastic container. It helps keep it fresh, and the container also prevents any other creatures from getting the food such as insects. I recommend a container. I hope this helps :-)

Every dog is a little different and you may have to experiment a bit to find the food that Roscoe tolerates the best. Made dog a treat dispenser from 1 water bottle. Normal plastic bottle with a hole on the side. I filled it with dog biscuits and then used a hot knife to make the hole ( with the biscuits inside.) I'm concerned if the biscuits are safe to eat.
