What's the best affordable healthy cat food for indoor/outdoor cats? Dry or wet?

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! I think the Purina Pro Plan diets are very good and also affordable. Both dry and wet diets are equally good in general especially for younger cats. I understand that it can be quite confusing to know what is good food versus bad food with all the conflicting information out there, but you definitely don't need to break the bank to feed good food. Also, there is A LOT misleading and outright false information amongst various people in the community, which may make you feel like you're feeding an inadequate or dangerous food. Purina One is a good food that I have fed to pets in the past. I have no problem with it and would only suggest that you ensure the food is labeled for Greyson's life stage. I really like Hill's Science Diet, Iams (very inexpensive), or Purina for better options that are much better than Fancy Feast. It is good that you want to go with a wet food, since cats are not big water drinkers. This will help promote good kidney and urinary bladder health. You can also mix in the wet food with dry to help stretch out the wet food and make it even more affordable! The most important thing to look for in a pet food is an AAFCO label, which tells you that the diet went through either a clinical trial or met a certain minimum standard when formulating the diet. This will ensure that the diet is complete and balanced. As far as specific brands, I like Royal Canin and Science Diet as reliable, high quality pet store brands.
