It appears to be a canine product, although for a smaller weight catergory, so should be ok. Do not give it to cats however! I do prefer Advantix and prescription flea/tick products, however, due to the reactions seen with Adams and similar products.

Hello and thank you for reaching out to Boop by Petco. It sounds like Fifi has had a bad reaction to the Adam's flea spray, so this should NOT be used again. The only topical flea and tick products that should be used on dogs (and cats) are those purchased from a veterinarian. Flea and tick products that are purchased from a pet or food store or online are not safe or effective for dogs, and can cause these painful skin reactions, or can even cause dogs to become systemically sick. I recommend contacting your local veterinarian about what flea and tick products they offer. Appropriate topical options include K9 advantage and Frontline. There are also oral options such as Bravecto and Nexgard, as well as a collar than can be worn (Seresto collar) for up to 8 months of flea and tick prevention! I hope this is helpful.

Oh no, how frustrating! I would not recommend using Adams flea and tick products for dogs of any age, as they tend not to be terribly effective and can lead to some serious reactions. Your puppies are currently too young to be treated with any oral or topical flea and tick preventatives. However, one method of managing fleas at this young age is to bathe the puppies in original Dawn dish soap weekly. The original (blue) Dawn will kill adult fleas, but it will not kill eggs or treat the recently hatched larvae. Be sure to dry them well and keep them warm after their baths since young puppies are not able to regulate their body temperatures as well as adult dogs. By 6 weeks of age, your vet can prescribe Revolution to be used topically, or you can purchase K9 Advantix II OTC when the puppies are 7 weeks old. Also be sure to wash their bedding and any soft materials they contact in hot soapy water. Assure that the puppies' mom and any other dogs in the house are also receiving flea and ti

The Seresto flea/tick collar is the only one on the market that is safe and effective - the others, including Adams, are often dangerously toxic for the dog and not effective at all for fleas in my experience. Advantix is definitely a better choice than PetArmor, but the most effective option available for fleas and ticks currently would be an oral medication like Nexgard or Bravecto. I would recommend getting a prescription from your veterinarian for one of these medications, if possible - this will eliminate the need for any topical medication or flea collars, and will also work much better.

I do not recommend any flea or tick shampoos, these are usually not safe products and not as long lasting as more modern preventive treatment for fleas and ticks. here is the list of the best flea products on the market. Spot ons: Revoulution Advantage Advantage Multi Frontline (ticks as well) Tablets: Trifexis/comfortis Bravecto (ticks as well) - for dogs Collar: Seresto ( (ticks as well) House spary: Indoorex
