I’m interested in the water additive product Healthymouth (healthymouth.com). Even brushing as often as I can his back teeth and canines are staring to get bad plaque and I want to avoid a dental cleaning as long as possible. My mom swears by this and her dog’s vet has commented on how her oral health has improved. I’ve read cinnamon and clove essential oil are bad for dogs, but I see both cinnamon and clove as ingredients. It got a VOHC seal of acceptance though. Hoping to get a vet opinion!
I added Dental Fresh to my dog's water to help with his bad breath & to help clean his teeth. This additive caused my dog to have a urinary problem whereas he couldn't pee... Have you ever heard of this problem? I had to get cranberry extract to return him to normal...
Dental oral care...which products to use? Was suggested OralVet, as its the one which digests in the dogs stomach is swallowed in big chunks. but not readily available in most stores. Is there a comparable product readily available, safe and easily digested?
What is this I have tried all sorts of water additives powders different toothpaste etc
I want to ask about tropiclean fresh breath for cats. It is effective but it has carbomer. How safe will it be for my cat to be ingested daily? It says 98.96 % naturally derived. Has water, naturally derived alcohol, glycerin, mild cleanser, carbomer, zinc chloride
What should be used to wash the black discharge from the corner of my puppy's eyes. She's a Maltese Shitzu hybrid. The active ingredient is Purified Water (99.05%)
Can I squirt this into my dogs mouth or do I have to put it in their water? The directions say in the water but I wanted to see if it can be used directly orally. I have not heard back from the manufacturer yet.
Dr. Hinson, what about the brand Oxyfresh or brushless toothpaste? Either of those any good? Btw, I ordered some Allivet stuff you showed me it’s supposed to arrive today. Both my bubba and Mia have really bad dander. If I brush them, it comes out in handfuls.
My dog is 13 years old with heart murmur condition and has been taking Fortikor for 3 years now. Vet has advised not to put her on athestisia to do dental cleaning. Her teeth is rotten and 3 tooths have fallen out within a month. Been putting Dental Fresh in her water every day and been using Biosilver Multi Purpose Solution spray for her teeth as hopefully an added protection. What other steps can I take to minimize further aggravation of her teeth and gum condition?
My male daschund is 15 yrs old and blind. He’s had the majority of his teeth removed and now his tongue permanently hangs out the side of his mouth (rather adorable) Besides the constant dryness of the end of his tongue he collects constant dirt and grime because he needs to use his smell for navigating around. I flush it with water regularly but concerned with parasites and bacteria. He’s had bouts with diarrhea and currently on Antibiotics.. is there and oral rinse I can use to help?
I've been giving my guinea pigs this for a supplement and it's been working great. When I got Sebastian he was 3 months so I only did 16 drops, but Sincestian is now 8 months I was thinking putting the full dose of 32 drops in the water. But Cosmo is only five months. If I went to 32 drops would it be bad for Cosmo? I do have two water bottles but they share everything so either way he will drink the other bottle.
I recently bought a water additive for my dog who has tartar buildup. Him and my cat both drink from the same water bowl, but my cat gets crystals in his bladder if his diet isn’t right. Will this be okay to introduce to my cat or will he get sick?
