I was wondering if there are any products you could recommend for my dog's super bad breath! He has bad dental issues as it is and the vet said that brushing wouldn't really do much since his teeth are so bad. I'm looking for a product that can make his breath smell very fresh and help improve his dental health (I would prefer a chew of some sort, but if not that's okay).

I’m interested in the water additive product Healthymouth (healthymouth.com). Even brushing as often as I can his back teeth and canines are staring to get bad plaque and I want to avoid a dental cleaning as long as possible. My mom swears by this and her dog’s vet has commented on how her oral health has improved. I’ve read cinnamon and clove essential oil are bad for dogs, but I see both cinnamon and clove as ingredients. It got a VOHC seal of acceptance though. Hoping to get a vet opinion!

Hello! My 4 month old female English bulldog has had terrible breath since we adopted her at 2 months old. This isn’t just normal bad breath. It smells something like rotting meat and feces, and I have checked her mouth and gums for any signs of debris and broken teeth. There doesn’t seem to be anything in her mouth out of the ordinary, and when I spray Oratene breath freshener in her mouth, it freshens it for a few minutes, but then it’s back to a hot garbage stink! Help me!
Dental oral care...which products to use? Was suggested OralVet, as its the one which digests in the dogs stomach is swallowed in big chunks. but not readily available in most stores. Is there a comparable product readily available, safe and easily digested?
Dr. Hinson, what about the brand Oxyfresh or brushless toothpaste? Either of those any good? Btw, I ordered some Allivet stuff you showed me it’s supposed to arrive today. Both my bubba and Mia have really bad dander. If I brush them, it comes out in handfuls.
