We used to love these treats. Our dog takes about four medications a day, the most important of which is his gabapentin for seizures. He also eats a vegetarian diet due to colitis. We always cut his pills into small bits and put them inside a few Zuke's peanut butter and oat treats. They used to be soft enough to do that and it was absolutely perfect. They recently changed the recipe and now the treats are incredibly crumbly and dry. The formulation is absolutely terrible. The entire bag is full of weird yellow stuff covering all the treats that looks awful and scary but I'm assuming it's just the crumbled treats? I hope. These are some of the only treats he can eat as he is on a vegetarian diet due to his colitis. Today I drove around our city for two hours desperately trying to find any remaining bags of the old formulation and at one of the stores the cashier even brought up how bad the new recipe is. I almost never write reviews for anything but I feel so strongly about how terrible this is, that I feel compelled to speak up. Please Zuke's, go back to the old recipe! This is a huge miss.

Used to buy this for years and was very satisfied with this soft chewy treat however, now they change the formula. It is horrible. Now it is hard as a rock has a very light color and is totally disgusting. Made my dog sick. Many pet stores stopped carrying them because of this horrible change. I called t Mama he manufacturer and they confirmed change in formula I threw away all the bags why change something that was perfect. This is horrible.

So happy to have found treats that our Havanese can eat AND LOVES the flavor! Shes allergic to chicken. Prior treats were Blue Dog Bakery beef and were discontinued. Ive given away hundreds of dollars in dog food and assorted treats/biscuits that shes refused to eat. Love the small size and i use them as reinforcements for training. Ingredients basic , simple and clear. A bit pricey for me personally, but have not been able to locate more affordable treats.

I have a seven-year-old Maltese who now only has six teeth, no back ones. She loves treats but cannot chew the ones I have tried. Do you have any that will crunch and break easily so as not to choke her?

I don’t really have an answer to that question as my golden retriever drinks a lot of water anyway but she always drinks after she has peanut butter period so it may help if u r trying to get the dog to drink more wayer

How many pieces per bag?

These are small kibbles, about the size of a jujube, if you're old enough to remember those candies. Maybe the size of a pencil eraser. According to the package, each one is 2.2 calories, for a total of 3134 calories per kilogram. This bag is only 1 lb, so that's a little less than 1/2 kilo. That figures out to about 650 pieces per bag. I give my small (10 lb) dog about 6-8 a day and this bag lasts us 3-4 months. And she dances for them!
