Not Good For Hermit Crabs

Didn’t heat up the air in the tank just the glass touching the heat mat so I guess it’s fine for reptiles but I will be returning. Also, since I stuck it to the side of the tank for my crabs, the adhesive never completely stuck to the glass and one side was hanging off so.......no.

No, I do not recommend this product.

I bought this a couple weeks ago and it does its job. However the adhesive is already coming off and i just wish it could be a little longer. With this though my ball python loves it.

Thinking of getting for my baby corn snake will it heat the ground well in a 25 gallon terrarium? And is it safe

Would this work with pvc tanks?

    1. Yes, it should work with a PVC enclosure with a proportional thermostat. Depending on the size of the enclosure, it may not be large enough or give off enough heat to provide the appropriate hot spot for your species. Usually PVC enclosures have a solid top so using an additional heat source could be problematic. You'd be better off using a larger, higher wattage heat pad with a thermostat. I have enclosures that are 30" x 23" x 11.5" and my heat pads/mats/tape pieces are 12" x 22". This snake heat mat is best for maybe a 10 gallon sized reptile home.

Would this work for baby leopard geckos?

    1. The best thing for baby/any Leo would be an under the tank heater sized appropriately for the tank. You very well could use this but would be considered "more complicated" then stick on an uth to a thermostat and you're done

Does it come with the cable

    1. The Snake Strip heater has a plug that is attached to it that plugs into the wall.
