My turtle got bigger than we thought she would. We had 2 small docks because of course they start out so tiny. Two of them are still small and love their small dock. My turtle in the smaller 40 gallon tank loves her medium size rock. So, now we also have this large rock. They are perfect and all my turtles are happy.

Yes, I recommend this product.

I bought this because my red eared slider needs a basking/feeding area, the employee recommended it but i hate it . It floats & has suction cups but its not sturdy & only has support on one side, it floats and moves everywhere so my turtle slips off. Its made out of a foamy plastic material , which my turtle also bites into pieces & i have to be supervising her so she wont eat it . it always detaches and takes alot of space . Would recommend for ONLY for small reptiles no more then a pound . Good hiding spot tho

No, I do not recommend this product.

I do not think much of my turtle dock because they broke it when they put it in the box and then stacked 20 pounds of the turtle rock on top of it.

Yes, I recommend this product.

I have RES in a 20 gallon tank and she is weighing down her medium dock would a large take up to much space?

  1. My RES is in a 40 gallon tank and weighs the large ramp down. I left they in the tank and bought a reptile magnetic shelf that holds her weight.  She use the ramp to climb out and then basks on the shelf.

I have three turtle shoes under the size of three inches the all are different sizes in a 30 gallon tank. What size would I need to get for all three of them?

  1. First of all, I would recommend a larger tank. A 30gallon is not big enough for 3 turtles even at that size. For your size tank a medium should fit and still accommodate the filter. But I would really suggest a size large so all 3 are able to bask at the same time, plus you won't have to buy a larger one once they grow.

I believe I have a 20 gallon tank. My red eared slider turtle is about 8 inches. Hes getting big. Anyway, Can I use a medium size turtle dock since it is about 15" x 7" I think the larger would take most of the tank. What size turtle dock do you suggest?

  1. The medium dock works in the 20 gallon tank, I have used that.  But, the recommendation is 10 gallons of water for every inch of shell length.  Something small can work temporarily but, if your slider’s shell is 8 inches long, a 20 gallon tank is not going to work much longer. The medium dock is also probably not going to be buoyant enough for a large turtle. Check the actual shell length, mine is just over five inches and he is almost too big for it.

I wanted to know what are the measurements for the mini size because I haven't been able to buy the proper tank sie for my red-eared slider turtles. I would really like some recommendations.

  1. My red ear slider is 8inches long I bought a 75 gallon tank but only filled it 12 inches which is perfect cause she can swim and stand & when she gets tired to climbs to her bassen & stays under the uva light all night!!she's 7 already and living the best life!!!

I want to use this for a leopard gecko for enrichment what size should I use?

  1. The small turtle dock should be fine to use with your leopard gecko. I would not recommend the larger sizes as they will take up a lot of room in your tank.

What size dock should i use for a fully grown yellow bellied turtle?

  1. You may want to look at the Large Turtle Dock or even the XL Pond Dock for your turtle depending on the size.

My turtle is about 5 inches and growing (Yellow bellied slider). Would the large dock work? The dock he has now is too narrow so he cant get grip anything to get up onto the basking area.

  1. The large turtle dock is about 7 inches wide, your 5 inch yellow bellied slider should have no problem getting up on the dock and staying completely out of the water.

I have a little mud turtle. She is about 4 inches in length and will probably stay that small. She is in a 10 gallon tank because every time we upgrade her to a larger tank, she stops eating for weeks until we put her back in her 10 gallon. Dock size?

I have a little mud turtle. She is about 4 inches in length and will probably stay that small. She is in a 10 gallon tank because every time we upgrade her to a larger tank, she stops eating for weeks until we put her back in her 10 gallon. Dock size?

    1. With a 4 inch turtle in a 10 gallon tank you may need to stay with the small or medium dock. The large dock will not fit in a 10 gallon tank, even the medium dock may take up a lot of room.

I only have one 3in RES in a 40 gallon tank I want to get another RES what dock would work best for only one 3in RES in a 40 gallon?

    1. The medium or large size dock would work in a 40 gallon tank. If you go with the large dock you will not need to upgrade it as quickly.
