Great Vitamins for Toad

Nancy Ashley

I bought this and it is easy to use. Just put a little in a sealed container, drop the crickets in and shake it. I feed my toad crickets after coating them with this vitamin rich product.

No, I do not recommend this product.

*SEE PICS for Ingredient/Guaranteed Analysis List* Q&A states this doesn't have vitamin A. I went in-store, read the ingredients, and it does so I got 3 bottles on sale for $3.35 each. My rescue female leo Randalyn gets vitamin A (hypervitaminosis A = eye issues), and rescue fowler's toad Kiwi gets vitamin E (hypervitaminosis E = mouth issues.) A varied diet still needs vitamin and mineral supplements. 5/5. *SEE PICS*

Yes, I recommend this product.

I got multivitamins for my rescue leo. People in the Q&A said this doesn't have vitamin A so I thought it wasn't ideal (hypervitaminosis A causes eye issues. It's fatal in some causes.) However, after seeing this in-store, I discovered it does have vitamin A. Here's the ingredients and guaranteed analysis: INGREDIENTS Dicaclium phosphate, precipitated calcium carbonate, maltodextrin, potassium chloride, salt, L-leucine, L-arginine, L-lysine, ascorbic acid, magnesium oxide, L-valine, L-isoleucine, L-alanine, L-glutamine, L-threosine, L-phenylalanine, d-calcium pantothenate, choline bitartrate, L-tyrosine, lecithin, L-cystine, L-histidine, L-glycine, L-methionine, L-serine, L-aspartic acid, manganese sulfate, niacin, ferrous fumarate, zinc oxide, glutamic acid, riboflavin, copper sulfate, thiamine hydrochloride, folic acid, pyridoxine hydrochloride, vitamin A acetate, menadione sodium bisulfate complex (source of vitamin K activity), biotin, vitamin B12 supplement, dried kelp, DL-Alpha tocopherol acetate, cholecalciferol (source of vitamin D3.) Can I give this to my Baby Red-Eared Slider?

can you use this with calcium powder with d3 or is that too much d3

Can you feed this to a red eared slider?

Is this okay to feed to a sulcata tortoise?

        1. It is safe to feed to a tortoise, however if your tortoise has a well balanced diet and gets regular UV sun, it really isn’t necessary. You don’t want to oversupplement on D3 if your pet gets it naturally. If your tort doesn’t get regular sun, this is totally acceptable to sprinkle on food a couple of times a week. Example- I supplement this to my geckos that I am not bringing outdoors, but in the summer when my tort gets playtime outside I remove this from his diet.

Does this product have vitamin A included?

        1. YES! It has 220,264 IU/kg

        Doses this have Vitamin A?

        1. Calcium Carbonate, Dicalcium Phosphate, Potassium Chloride, Sodium Chloride, Ascorbic Acid, Magnesium Oxide, Isoleucine, L-Phenylalanine, L-Serine, L-Histidine, Dicalcium Pantothenate, Choline Bitartrate, Lecithin, Niacin, Ferrous Fumerate, Zinc Oxide, Copper Sulfate, L-Glutamic Acid, Riboflavin, Dl-Alpha Tocopherol Acetate, Thiamine Hcl, L-Arginine, Lysine, L-Leucine, L-Aspartic Acid, Folic Acid, Glycine, Manganese Carbonate, L-Glutamine, L-Cystine, Pyridoxine Hcl, L-Alanine, L-Threonine, L-Tyrosine, L-Valine, L-Methionine, Cholecalciferol, Biotin, Cyanocobalamine, Kelp.

Do I still need to use a calcium supplement if I'm using this?

        1. We would still recommend using a calcium supplement like our Repti calcium without D3 as well as the Reptivite.

Im looking for a vitamin and mineral supplement for my baby leopard gecko. will this be a good choice to go with? if not then what would be a good choice. please someone write back to me soon. thanks

        1. The Reptivite would be a good multivitamin to feed your baby leopard gecko. You can also look into getting the Repticalcium without D3 to use as well.

Do I Use This Product AND the Zoo Med Repticalcium for my Leopard Geckos? My baby leopard gecko recently injured her leg. I want to start giving her vitamins, but am unsure what to give her.

        1. The Reptivite should be given once to twice a week sprinkled on crickets or meal worms. The Repticalcium can actually be placed in a dish in the enclosure with your leopard gecko. Leopard geckos will actually come over and lick the calcium from the dish when they need it.

would it be healthy to put this on my red eyed tree frog's food once a week?

        1. It is a good idea to include a multivitamin supplement to help ensure that your pet is getting the vitamins and minerals it needs. A varied diet that includes different kinds of gut-loaded prey items can also help provide different nutrients for your pet.
