Hi, my hatchling red foot tortoise has a problem with keeping his eyes open for very long, he hasn't been eating as much as usual and when he closes his eyes I have to soak him in water to get him to open them back up. When his eyes close it almost looks like they are crusty. I have a cypress mulch and jungle mix substrate in his cage which is about 4 inches at the highest and 1 inch in his basking are but it's kept well watered. Thank You!
Hi, my leopard gecko has not been opening his eye for almost a month now, I assume he has some remaining eye caps in his eyes, he will open his eyes when I pick him up and it's all white. But since yesterday, I bought the zoomed repti shedding aid for the eye caps removal and sprayed on his eye. Today he left eye remains the same condition, but his right eye appears to have blood on it and he cannot open it fully, I don't know what happened to him and what to do
Box turtle came out of hibernation with white mucus around eyes and coughed up mucus while getting drink. What do I do?
Hello, My RES's eyes were swollen for last 5 - 6 days, But now they look fine but still not eating as usual, environment condition is same as before and I am giving taiyo turtle food.
I was wondering if there is an over the counter version of Tobramyacin 0.5% drops, that would sphere safe for kittens?
Hi I can't take my turtle to the vet since the vets near us only treat cats and dogs. My turtle is a five-year old box turtle. Last week I placed him in land habitat since he was getting shell rots from the water since the filter broke. Since then he wouldn't eat. He'd just chew the pellet then spits it out. He also developed puffy eyes, the other eye has a white bump on his lid. He would also yawn from time to time but not repeatedly. Lastly, he always rubs his face with his hand.
This was a pic two weeks ago I have no had a chance wit im to allow me to get another picture. It happened after he shed i live in middle of no where and no vet takes reptiles close by. It has covered his entire eye if i don't soak him for a day it closes permanently unless i use a wet qtip i have used saline on it twice a day but it has done nothing and I am in desperate need of help.
My dog was using tacrolimus drops but they are expensive. Can I use instead Refresh Tears lubricant eye drops?
