Do not buy this product if you want a healthy tank. It killed one of my hermit crabs which I had owned for years, and severely injured my two others. The nozzle broke on it and it only pumps at 100% humidity now. It was amazing at first, but didn't even last a month.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Works but be ready for puddles of water below the tube, runs out of water quickly and tube gets filed up with water blockage

I bought this a couple of days ago and I love it! It keeps my pac man frog’s habitat at the appropriate humidity level. It’s also extremely easy to use, the only thing you may have a problem with is a tad bit of leakage at the bottom of the tube but it’s not a huge deal at all

Yes, I recommend this product.

will this provide enough water for my 2 anoles and I am going on vacation and I want there humidity to stay up and there be enough water for them to drink

  1. Depends on how long the vacation is. On a very slow mist the bottle might cover a long weekend but not two weeks by any means

how do you install it

  1. Put water in bottle & screw on the black cover easier than tipping bottle up side down. The water will fill up in the container put hose on top of cage turn dial to what you want .I put setup next to cage

Is a cool mist okay for chameleons or will they get too cold?

Is this good for corn snakes? My snake is about 7 months and likes the humidity around 50-60%

    1. I suppose it could be. However it could get the humidity too high if you leave it running all day unless you put it in something like I use--Zoo Med Hygrotherm. It is a regulator, hydrometer, thermometer and thermostat all in one. You plug in your heat source, set the desired temp, plug in your fogger, set the desired humidity level, and it takes care of the rest for me. All I have to do is refill. It is important to use distilled water only!

Hi I did buy 2 of these it works very well with my baby corn snake. So I bought one for my ball python hes in a 20 long gallon tank but some reason it drops the heat to 77 so I am trying to figure out how to keep one side warmer and have the humidity up.

    1. Long answer Short: Use a warm mister not a fogger. Foggers like this one use a hotplate to evaporate cool steam. I've only cared for a BallPython, and a Mountain Horned Dragon, but had similar issues keeping proper humidity in large tanks with high heat. in short I ended up creating ahome-made misting system using gardening misters and a small pond-pump stuck into a five gallon. Other people have also used timers with theirs. For me it worked, much more worth the cost, time, and the thirty minutes putting it together.

is this a cool mist or a warm mist?

    1. It is considered a "cool mist" system and will have trouble working in a warm environment/tank 70+degrees Fahrenheit.

What are the dimensions for this product?

    1. The Reptifogger is about 11.5 inches tall with the bottle on it and the base is 9.5 inches long by 5 inches wide by 4 inches tall.

    Pac man frog

    1. Yes! This item is great for adding humidity to a habitat. It can be used with a hygrostat (Hygrotherm) or a timer to be sure that it does not add too much moisture to the habitat.

Does it keep the humidity low enough for a Tokay gecko

    1. The output of the ReptiFogger can be adjusted manually. To best control the fog, use this item with a Hygrotherm (Hygrostat) or a timer as necessary.

    Does it constantly run?

    1. It's on an hydrometer. You set it for the percent of humidity that is recommended. For my Giant Day Geckos it's 50-75%. I set it for 65%. It will run until it is 65% and then shut down until it drops to 49. I just replaced the first one I had because I had it set up wrong. I don't know how it happened but it was running all the time. It said in the instructions that constant running will burn it out which it did. I use purified water in mine that is made in my reverse osmosis filter. If you use tap water you run the danger of mineral build up.
