Moisten pellets with water to stimulate feeding behavior and create a flavorful mash that tortoises love. Many tortoises love lettuce' however diets of mostly lettuce are unnaturally high in protein and low in fiber. If your tortoise will only eat lettuce, thoroughly mix small amounts of lettuce into the mash. Slowly reduce the amount of lettuce offered at each feeding until your tortoise has switched completely. Zoo Med's Can O' products (worms or snails), sold separately, are enjoyed by Forest Tortoises and can be offered occasionally.Always provide clean drinking water. Store unused food in a cool, dry area.

My tortoises and box turtles will eat it if it's crumbled and mixed with other foods. But otherwise it just sits there. If moistened as directed on the label, it needs to be removed after a short time as it tends to promote profuse mold/fungus growth. Unlike Mazuri tortoise pellets that just dry out with time. Ingredients sound good and healthy, but the fair palatability and the tendency to grow mold are detractors that are the reason for the lower rating

No, I do not recommend this product.

This is a great addition, product has to be soaked and you have to add fresh chopped vegetables, kale and other healthy greens and wild flower, mix it all well together and it becomes a great nutritional correct meal for your tortoise

I have multiple species household, this product is a great addition - the dried kibble should be soaked, smashed and depending on your species add additional fresh ingredients such as kale, other greens, fruit, flowers etc

Yes, I recommend this product.
