If necessary the cork flat may be cut to fit your terrarium. would this be suitable for a hide house for a pacman frog
- Yes, if medium or large. Small will not work.

Can I use this for a hamster? Is it safe?
- some hamster-safe woods are cork, willow, and grapevine. So this product will be safe for a hamster!

Is it possible for there to be insects in it when it arrives? I am nervous to put it in because my grandfather mentioned how it could have wasps in it. Am I being paranoid? If so how do i wash it fully since it is wood?
- Hi! I think you should be all good. I ordered two and neither came with any bugs or other creatures. I believe that they are artificial so the chances of anything living inside of them is slim to none. This is a good concern to have if you ever chose to pick up a piece of wood you found outdoors but you should have no problem if you decide to purchase these :)

Is this already sterilized, or should we sterilize it before use? If it does need to be sterilized, what would be the best method? I'm worried about potential insects, mites, etc. living in the bark.
- I personally would sterilize anything I buy for a pet, one of the best ways is to just boil it in a pot then let it dry overnight. Hope this helps have a great day!

How much direct heat or temperature can this product widthstand without it getting burned by the basking light . I use it for all of my tanks except my uromastyx because I’m scared that it will catch fire . My basking temperatures is between 105-120 .
- My understanding is that cork bark does not catch fire. Yes, it can be scorched by long-term exposure such as if one were to hold a blow torch to it, whch I have never tried. Otherwise it should not self ignite.
