Questions
Suitable for a turtle tank? Non aquatic obviously.
Can this be used under bedding in baby leopard tortoise enclosure?
How much do these raise humidity? Can I use less to only raise it a little? I’m having trouble keeping the humidity up to the right percent in my ball pythons enclosure, but I don’t want to raise it too much as I know that is not good for ball pythons.
What is the volume of this bag? I'm trying to calculate how many bags I'll need for a 40 gal. tall tank 36" x 12"
- For my 20 gallon long I used two bags but easily could've used three. For a 40 gallon I would use 4-5 bags, you want it to be about 2 inches deep

Can i use these for my hermit crabs?
Will this help keep the humidity steady for my crested gecko?
- Yes, even though I haven't used it yet I have done quite a bit of research via bioactive and I have found that these work great.

Can I use these hydroballs for hydroponic gardening?
- Yes they work well for drainage and for helping to retain water for future use by the plants when needed as long as they don't dry out of course. They do soak up a good amount of water.

Can I use this underneath my ball pythons substrate? I use the Aspen bedding.
- You can use this as a bottom layer of you put some sort of screen or weed fabric to separate the two. However, even though aspen shows a ball python on the package. It is not ideal for balls. Research on line. Aspen sucks the moisture out of the air. It molds easy and is not ideal for digestion if your feeding in the enclosure. Coco fiber is a much better choice for substrate. It retains moisture longer, doesn’t mold under normal circumstances, and will be easier to digest if it is swallowed by your snake. Switching to a better substrate and using these as a bottom drainage layer will greatly benefit your python.
