Moisten pellets with water to stimulate feeding behavior and create a flavorful mash that tortoises love. Many tortoises love lettuce; however diets of mostly lettuce are unnaturally high in protein and low in fiber. If your tortoise will only eat lettuce, thoroughly mix small amounts of lettuce into the mash. Slowly reduce the amount of lettuce offered at each feeding until your tortoise has switched completely. Zoo Med's Can O' products (worms or snails), sold separately, are enjoyed by Forest Tortoises and can be offered occasionally. Always provide clean drinking water. Store unused food in a cool, dry area.

HI there! I have a Russian tortoise who is less than one year old. She used to eat a variety of lettuces, spinach, cucumber, carrot, tomato, and enjoyed the bits of fresh fruit I treated her to now and then. For a couple months, she hasn't been eating any of those foods. I bought some tortoise "pellets" to supplement her diet, but she won't eat those either. I'm worried about her. What do you suggest? Thanks, Lori
I have always given my turtle ReptoMin for the past 14 years. Are there any other foods or treats i can feed her?
What’s good food for a Salcata Tortoise (No Pellets) I feed him fresh stuff but I would like to know some good things to feed him on a daily bases please
I have a five-year-old land tortoise. I usually feed him lettuce and tomatoes, but I'd like to change that. Is purslane bad for him? Could I give it to him?
I want to make sure my sulcata tortoise is getting a proper diet. I feed him timothy hay and a cuddle bone is offered but which fresh market veggies are most appropriate? Spinach, romaine, broccoli?
What weight should a spur-thighed tortoise be before going into hibernation?
Hi, What specific type of the Oxbow Critical Care formula would you suggest for a box turtle that is not eating? I see they have different types. Does that have to be given orally or could this be mixed with water in a container where you can soak the turtle so that she gets those nutrients. How many times per week would you use the formula? Thanks so much
What brand of food is best to buy my red eared slider? And what kind of food?
I've had my Russian tortoise for about 3 years. Unfortunately he got hit by a lawn mower about 2 years ago. The vet put a fiberglass she'll on it and he seemed to be fine. Now he does not move his eyes are shut most of the time and he is eating less and less. We have been soaking him in warm water and lightly misting him with water so he can open his eyes. We usually feed him mostly romaine lettuce, spinach and collard greens. He is very picky and prefers the romaine lettuce.
So my tortoise is 2 years old and recently has stopped/refuses to eat, he takes one bite and looks as if he is struggling to swallow it, he then won't eat anything else. I am very worried for his well fair and need some advise ASAP
I have a tortoise from last 10 to 15 days not eating and shell of the tortoise becoming loose and upper shale became loose looks like Please suggest me what can i do ? Thank You
