Do Not Purchase

Zoo Med 2 door terrarium

I was so excited to purchase the double door terrarium bc it would make it so much easier for me to reach my beardie. I’ve only had it a couple of weeks and the door latch broke. It’s unrepairable bc the piece is plastic. I can no longer open that door, and the other side breaks then I won’t be able to reach him or let him out from the front. Very disheartening to say the least.

No, I do not recommend this product.

I just went to the store in glen Burnie and it’s a nice tank. Unlike other petcos, the lady actually told me good things to do to take care of a leopard gecko. Just awesome.

Plastic shell broken in 2 places inside the carboard covering where you cannot see it until you open it. 1 door doesn't latch straight out of the box. I am used to buying Zoomed products and being very happy with them, so I trusted this one. Incredibly dissapointed and feels like a huge waste of money for how much this one costs.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Great tank for the price

Spacious tank for the money! I own 6 of the smaller ones and am slowly upgrading them all to the 40’s. They have all held up really well! The last one I picked up had two broken chips on the plastic and a damaged spot on the mesh. The packaging hid the defects.. too much of a hassle to exchange. So now I have a brand new already damaged terrarium.

Yes, I recommend this product.

For the price on sale , you cannot beat this. Needed an upgrade and bigger tank for our ball python. Super happy with the tank, and yes maybe have to wiggle the door a little to get it to lock in, but also always have to be cautious when putting them to bed and making sure all the latches are tight. Easy access and beautiful design. If I see any changes I will edit my review, but so far 😊

Yes, I recommend this product.

Questions

Sort by: Newest Answers

Will a DHP(deep heat projector) melt the top if sitting directly on the mesh? If so, how high should it be hung or should we get a full metal mesh top?

What lighting kit would you reccomend for the 40 gallon tank

    1. reptisun LED

Is this tank suitable for a Ball Python? I was thinking about getting one as a first time snake owner.

    1. Ball pythons need a minimum of 4x2x2 feet

    Does this tank hold water?

    1. Yes, the bottom portion is watertight.

Where can I buy a replacement door for this cage?

Where do the 4 clips go that came with this terrarium tank?

      1. In the back of the screen there are 4 places that cords can go.. they just go in there to block the openings when the openings aren't being used.

Is this good for darts and mourning geckos? DON'T answer by saying you shouldn't mix them or anything like that. I mainly want to know if there is enough vertical space for 2 mourning geckos. I have 3 darts and want to add geckos but need a bigger tank.

      1. I have two anoles in this tank that grow to about 10 inches when adults. Plenty of room for vines and live plants in this tank . I believe it will be fine for your geckos and frogs. Best to have more floor space rather than just height when housing your two species. They will both be comfortable in here.

Is this a good size tank for a corn snake

      1. I would say yes. It has the same sizing as a 40-gallon breeder tank, which should be a decent size terrarium for a full-grown corn snake.

Is this good for a hamster?

      1. I would say no. Hamsters are known to chew on everything! I could absolutely see a hamster putting his front teeth in the small plastic front door area & working on it. I had a habitrail, made for hamsters. They did this to the small air holes in the tubes.
