I bought this 3 months ago It is fine for a temporary home but is too small for anything past a baby, It's way better if the bedding is coconut shreds, not wtv that is. The lamb is cheap, and if ur gonna put a snake in there the "food" will kill them they need lots of room and things to climb ropes fake plants LOTS of places to hide rembler This is not to look at it will be stressed if they're not hiding at least 3 and a big water bowl so they can soak to so they can shed

Be careful with the tabs that lock the lid

Be careful with the tabs that lock the lid in place. They eventually loosened up and my corn snake escaped. Its been since Christmas and I still haven't found her. I've given up and now look at this defective lid and tank in my basement emptied out and sad.

I’ve had this setup for 3 years now for my 4 year old Rosy Boa. It’s a good starter but it doesn’t have everything you’ll need. I’ve purchased plants, light timers, and different heat pads. Keeping a snake in constant light can disrupt their cycle and having such an open enclosure with no plants can stress your reptile.

I purchased this item for my ball python, seemed like a pretty good deal until we tried to set it up. The heating light did not work and when we tried to exchange for exact item we’re told we had to bring everything back including the tank which our snake was already in. We ended up having to purchase a new light fixture and bulb thankfully I contacted petco customer are and they were able to help me since store was unable to. Contacted the manufacturer for warranty still waiting to hear back.

Great starter kit

Petco team were wonderful in helping me choose this all in one starter kit for a corn snake. I'm new to this,honestly my son love snakes and Santa gifted him this. Overall set up is fairly simple and everything you need to start is in this kit. I'll be getting a upgrade digital thermostat controller soon. Our snake seems to be okay in this enclosure. overal i recommend this product. i did have a issue with the top screen but i contacted the manufacturer and after submitting proof of purchase and pictures of the issue they mailed me out a replacement. great customer service and over all satisfied.

My honest thoughts on this product

I bought this recently for a hatchling milk snake as I've been keeping other snakes for a while now, and I just bought it as a cheap base to definitely expand upon, for that purpose alone its not a bad choice as I would of spent closer to $500 if I bought everything on its one but I only ended up spending around $300. If you are looking to buy this for a snake I do recommend a few additional things. Those being: a thermostat which is essential and disappointing to not see included, a different bedding depending on the snake, and maybe some additional decor. I have also read some other reviews mentioning issues with the heat lamp malfunctioning so consider replacing that as well. Other than those few issues its not bad at all.

The light is too hot, the top of the hide gets to over 100 degrees while the inside will be in the low 80's. I added a thermostat with the heating pad, which doesn't warm much. I can set the thermostat to 95 and it'll still be 80 degrees over it. Maybe the substrate? I bought a different light that works great with it. My baby snake tried to get out a very small part in the top that i put a cord through and couldn't get through (thank goodness) and has a place for a lock, so it does seem escape proof. All in all okay for the price, but still may need some slight upgrades. I also didn't use the bedding it came with because of another review on that. If you need something quick or temporary, or are willing to pay this plus for a few upgrades, then it will work fine for you. Also I wouldn't put a large or strong snake in here. Works good for a baby corn.

How much does the tank set weigh in pounds?
- I would say it's definitely under 30 maybe even 25 pounds, off the shelf, it's small and light enough that you can safely transport with no help if you're non-disabled. And if that is the case the associates are very kind regarding helping out!

Can I use this tank and its decors for a leopard gecko. I'll also be adding other decors too. I feel like a 10 gal tank setup for leopard gecko is way to small.

I bought this tank a long time ago and unfortunately my turtle has passed , if I wanted to use it for a fish tank would it hold the water or would I need to get a different tank ?
