[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got these a couple weeks ago as a treat for my gecko and he likes them. I put a couple in a week as a little treat for him and he eats them right up. I like that its just super easy to shake a couple out and be done. I would get these again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The zilla reptile munchies mealworm pack makes feeding my beardies so much easier and they love them. I just adopted Milo and he loves food, but he usually prefers it to move. All i had to do was shake the bowl a small bit and he jumped into eatting and did great. My daughter fed it to Ginger for me and she did give him a bit too much but he saw the food and ran right over to start eatting. They both seem to really enjoy there mealworms almost as much as moving mealworms. Im so happy to have this as a option and Im so excited that my sweet beardies love it!

They float perfectly on top of the water while he chases them in the current! They offer a good chunk of protein making them a perfect addition to his diet!

Our Leopard Gecko Loves These!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We use the Reptile Munchies Mealworm for my son's leopard gecko between buying live crickets. He seems to really love them! He usually only eats live crickets but sometimes we don't get around to buying them or the local store is out of them, that is when these come in very handy! They come in a resealable bag and require no refrigeration which is so convenient.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It looks as though this isn't the best for a reptile that's used to hunting it's food. As they're dehydrated and freeze-dried, they're clearly DOA. Reconstituting doesn't help restore that. When they just sat in the bowl, the gecko wouldn't go for them. When we wiggled them on tweezers, he still wouldn't. Tried this both dry and moist. I'm sure they're great for less picky eaters - other reviews imply as much. The nutritional facts on the bag are very promising as well. However, for us, it's not the right product.

Questions

1 - 6 of 6 Questions
Sort by: Newest Answers

Are those mealworms dry or live

  1. THEY ARE DRY AND DEAD. BUY LIVE BUGS INSTEAD

About how many mealworms are in the bag?

  1. So with the bag, I get about a couple months worth of feeding bowls full… I give my leopard geckos them as an all the time snack, since I feed them live every other day.  It’s a decent amount, if I guessed maybe 500-1000. My bowl holds probably 30 at a time, and gets filled atleast once a week if not more. I also spray them with a calcium supplement so the geckos get their vitamins

Would I be able to feed these to my green tree frog?

  1. Thanks for your question! Generally tree frogs prefer live, moving, prey but some species can be trained to feed on dead prey items from tongs. You would have to make the food appear like it is moving for them to want to try eating it, so live insects would be a better choice.

Is it ok to eat for a baby red bellied cooter and a adult red bellied cooter?

  1. Yes, they are good to mix in from time to time  just not as their main food diet. Be sure to use commercial food pellets and live insects to balance out their diet.

can a long tailed lizard eat this

  1. As long has they are big enough to handle them yes.

How long would this last for a lepord gecko, as it's only food?

  1. I wouldn’t depend on dry for their only diet. Mix live mealworms and small crickets as well.
