Hi! I was wondering what reptile/amphibian/insect/arachnid I can keep in a medium eco terra faunarium? (Roughly 7.5 x 12 inches)
Is this a good setup for Nighthawk, the first photo is the over all setup, the second one is the side view and the third is the water and calcium dishes. I use an under tank heater that stays at about 88 degrees Fahrenheit and the vines are fake. He has a warm hide and a cold hide with moss in it that’s i spray down every other day. The little box is another little hide that I can see him in. And the background is tile it paper rolls that were painted(they were left to dry for two weeks)
What is the very minimum amount of space a Crested Gecko should live in?
My husband gave me a new green anole, came with a small 9x6x6.5 critter tote, bedding, but it's the first nite, what do I do for the next day as heating source Bc I don't have a uvb light, also what do I need to do for the nite? He seems to be turning brown quickly, he keeps trying to climb out
Hi there. So I am looking into getting a heat dome for my crested gecko. I know they don’t have to have a heat lam but I want him to have a UVB bulb Because it’s good for them. But I am not quite sure that type to get. Any suggestions? I was looking at petco’s tropical combo pack. He lives in a 10 g. With live plant. (I will upgrade when he is bigger) also do you know an age on him? I got him 3 months ago from petsmart. I could tell he was a male a week after I got him. (Pic from yesterday)
I bought a wounded baby gecko, I mean wounded because it's tail is gone. I'm not sure how old or what gender it is yet because of it missing its tail. My questions are I put a piece of clean dried drift wood & some dried out lemons & oranges in its aquarium is that ok or harmful? I also added moisture to its substrate & shallow dish of calcium powder & crickets sprinkled with it. Its tail don't seem to growing. Its only 3+half inches long, any suggestions would be great. Please & thank you
Hello, I bought a female green anole 1-2 weeks ago, and she isn't doing very well. We house her in a 18"x18"x24" Tall ExoTerra terrarium. There are lots of plants, branches, and hiding spots. Within a coupe of days of getting her, she just stopped moving and laid on the bottom of the terrarium. We live in MA, and we use a reptical supplement. She also hasn't eaten by herself, even after giving her a little more than a week to adjust to her new habitat.
I just recently took in a supposed 6 month old male Savannah monitor that was being kept in a far too small enclosure with no heat source, only being let out to roam free for a few hours a day, with a diet of only crickets We've moved him into a 4 ft long, 75 gallon glass enclosure with proper heating and humidity. We've only had him about 48 hours but I'm worried about him he's only about 10 to 12 in long and he hardly moves, unless we take him out of the tank, he won't eat either.
Please help with my chameleon
I have a new Ball Python that eats allright, but it stays in it's hide all the time, day and night. I keep the temperature gradient consistant. The hide is the black square with a hole in one end. I feed him in a separate clear habitat. The substrate is aspen bedding wich, consists of perfectly square 3mm pieces that stick to every thing it comes in contact withincluding the snake wich is covered. I have to mist more than seven times a day to keep the humidity above 40%. One quart at a time.
I have a gargoyle gecko all OK last two years but very recently lost weight to point I can see his ribs, his legs and feet are weak. Has wood chip substrate Cork board walls hollow logs and branches. He eats phelsuma mix and locusts mist once day or every other. Approx 25c with heat mat which is turned off at night.
My crestie's feet are not sticky at all, and the stickiness has been slowly getting less and less. I keep the temp in the cage the same as Nomea's temps and humidity. Metalworms are fed almost everyday, and he has TONS of decor and hiding in a 18 by 18 by 24 gallon tank. I don't hold him too much, being around 3 to 5 min each day. As far as I know, he hasn't had a shed in a month, but I very well might have missed it. If shedding is the prob, how do I influence a shed?
