can i use this for my tomato frog?
- Hi there! This would not be recommended for a frog. The tropical version would be more suitable!

- This is what I use for my leopard gecko...no problems at all.

How often do you need to change this bulb because there is conflicting information online and no info provided on the box. Do you change it when it goes out or do you change after so many months? Does the bulb emit less UVB over time b4 it goes out?
- Every 6 months, but the coil bulbs aren't ideal since they don't cover enough area. Some geckos will be ok with these, but if you have a bearded dragon you 100% need the linear UVB bulbs.

Does the Zilla Desert Fluorescent UVB/UVA 20 watt bulb provide the amount of UVB/UVA that my Russian Tortoise requires?
- Hi there! Yes, it does!

Can I use a Desert Fluorescent Bulb for my Eastern Box Turtle for the UVA/B (not the heat). I have an alternate heat sourse
- Hi there! Thank you for your question. If the bulb is being placed 12 inches or further from the basking surface, yes, a desert bulb can be used. If the bulb will be closer than 12 inches to the basking surface, we would recommend a tropical bulb. We hope this helps!

Would this provide enough heat and light source for my Russian Tortoise?
- This bulb would provide adequate day light and UVA/B, but fluorescent coil bulbs do not produce a significant amount of heat. You would still require another heat bulb to create a basking spot during the day, and to possibly add something for night heat (like a heat mat) if your nighttime ambient temperature drops too low.
