Great for starter but evidently will get better lights

Save your money and spend it on items that will actually be beneficial to your beardie. This "starter kit" was a waste of money and we ended up replacing nearly everything from the kit within the first two weeks for better options. We were using this with a 40 gallon terrarium and could not get the basking spot above 82 degrees with this set-up without placing the basking area so high up he'd be practically touching the mesh top. We panic bought this on clearance at PetCo and I'm happy we did, I can NOT FATHOM paying full price for this!

It really irritates me to no end when I see these chain pet stores promoting and selling these products for bearded dragons. Basically they are promoting horrible husbandry! I recommend researching more if you don't believe me or researching more before you buy this and waste your money and create health problems for your animal. Coiled bulbs like the ones they're selling here do not put off a nearly enough UVB light to even reach the Dragon unless they are about 3 in from the bulb. You need a long linear tube light that is about 2/3 the length of the enclosure and mostly over the basking spot/warm side. If you use these coiled bulbs, there's a very good chance that your baby dragon or any dragon will develop Metabolic Bone Disease. This is painful, crippling, disfiguring, and often fatal. Colored lights should also be avoided, even these 'black lights' did they promote for night time use. If your dragon needs heat at night (they actually sleep better when cool), I recommend a ceramic heat emitter. The blue daylight bulb probably isn't what you need for a basking bulb either... The carpet is not recommended either. It holds bacteria which will make your dragon sick. Your dragon's claws may also get caught and ripped out. There are many other better options- nonadhesive padded shelf liner, newspaper, butcher paper, tile... I highly recommend doing further research in other places if you doubt my words or before buying these products. Petco (and Zilla) should be ashamed for promoting (or making and packaging) this 'kit'. It really has me questioning their veterinarians that they have on their board. It's either that or the CEOs that are overriding what the veterinarians are suggesting and recommending. Either way, somebody is responsible for the marketing of these products and they should be held responsible and accountable when animals are injured or become sick. People need to speak up more and stop letting this happen. If the corporation is promoting this horrible husbandry, you can bet the chances are the individual store is going to be questionable as well because they have to go by corporation policies (I have talked to former employees who know about reptiles and they agree with me completely but they have no say and how the animals are treated because of these corporate policies. I have no problem calling out these higher ups since they want to be the ones making these decisions. They should be held responsible and accountable. Although the actual brand making these devices should also be held responsible accountable, ultimately it's the store and the corporation that is allowing this to happen. If you have ever had a problem with any of these products whether individually or as a whole, I encourage you to speak up. Nothing will change until people start making things known. Note: I tried to submit an example of what a bearded dragon with Metabolic Bone Disease looks like... But am having issues. I recommend doing a quick Google search of what Metabolic Bone Disease looks like in bearded dragons. It should scare you.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It came with three lamp domes with the lights that are needed for the dragons tank so that they can get the nutrients they need it also came with the springs to hold down the light domes it came with treats and a food. Bowl and some carpet there was so many good things in her for my dragon thanks influencer my dragon is loving it 😊

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I always like to have extra light set ups on hand in case one goes out. Gotta keep Tomato(yes that’s his name) comfortable. The bowl is kind of cheap but good as a back up. Would recommend the set as a basic starter.
