I love this stuff! I use it in place of sand for all of my desert reptiles and they thrive on it. They can burrow through it and you have now worries of compaction.

Use this bedding for my Kenyan Sand Boas - I like it because it is not at all dusty and the snakes seem to burrow well into it.

Low dust option for burrowers!

This small-piece aspen bedding is perfect for the bottom layer of my reptile's tank. It absorbs waste, is easy to scoop out, and releases less fiber and dust than the usual aspen snake litter. I top it with large curl small animal aspen bedding for volume and ease of burrowing.

While this litter does what it's supposed to, it also settles too compactly for my corn to want to burrow in it. She also drags pieces of it in to her water dish, and it doesn't stick as well to feces as other aspen.

I have a California King and after trying several different substrates we discovered Zilla's Aspen Chips. My snake loves it because it moves like sand, and I love it because it is super easy to keep clean. I'm so glad Petco carries this because I have been unable to find it in my area.

I have a 30 gallon terrarium and a juvenile king snake. He loves this bedding. We have tried others, but they get matted down and make it hard for him to burrow. This kind stays loose and allows him to dig and borrow as much as he wants.
If you have a pet that likes to bury themselves, this one is the best.

Is this a good option for an adult Northern Blue Tongue Skink?

However, for an adult Northern Blue Tongue Skink, it may not be the best choice as they require a substrate that can hold humidity and maintain moisture levels.
