My 10½ y.o. Karika was rescued from being a mill mama at about 2 y.o.. Due to generally poor genetics, she will never have the bright white teeth I see other dogs with - not even with dental cleanings every few years. She won't let me brush - using a VERY small brush - more than a few swipes at a time (she has a tiny mouth, even though she's a 20# adult), so I've used a number of different things to assist with her dental care in the 8 years since I adopted her, in addition to the cleanings every few years. Prior to finding Zesty Paw products, I'd used Plaque Off, TropiClean Dental Gel & Water additive (as well as trying several other H2O additives), Vet's Best Enzymatic toothpaste, and as many healthy dental chews as I could find. About 3 years ago I got her a dental ball with the nubs that are meant to help clean their teeth when they get their treats out of it. Until recently, when I tried the ZestyPaws bacon flavor training treats in the ball, I always found many leftover treats the next time I went to fill it. Not anymore!!! Like several other Zesty Paws products, she LOVES these so much that I no longer have to throw away or vacuum up crumbly wasted treats from the dental ball!! Now, she gets really excited when I fill it and throw it for her to chase and empty!! Thank you, Zesty Paws, for another great product!!! A happy Shiba Inu Mom!!
