A well-balanced finch diet consists of specialized pellets (should make up 60 to 70% of diet), plus fresh vegetables, fruits and small amounts of fortified seeds. Fresh food and water should always be available. Vegetables and fruits not eaten within a few hours should be discarded.
Avoid non-stick cookware and appliances, as well as cleaning agents, as they can release fumes hazardous to your bird's health.

What sex are my birds?
Hello! I have a very big Cage with just three budgies. I'd like to but an zebra finch, but i want to know If I can put just one zebra finch with my three budgies (2 females, 1 Male). Do the zebra finch needs a pair? Can i put these two species together? Thanks!
I bought two finches.Later i felt that they are both males so I bought two female finches, one died. Now my problem is I provided them a nest two of the finches, which i earlier thought to be males, enter the nest leaving the other female finch outside. The female finch's beak is lighter than the other two finches that enter the cage. What should i Do?should i buy another male/female finch and provide another nesting?i am posting photos of the two finches that enter the cage. Are they pair or same type
My zebra finch is puffed up and eating normally is a sign of what kind of illness
I have 2 healthy bonded male/female zebra finches approximately 8-10 months old. Everything is proper in their cage with 2 hanging toys and bone. They eat a finch seed food and fresh water. The female though began going bald soon after purchase exposing her back of neck and most of her back. They seem healthy and happy regardless. Very bonded. What can I do to help her? And is it normal that she has not yet laid an egg? Please help.
One of my zebra finch is depressed because we removed the nest and he had some eggs in there
My society finches are 6 months old..should i use them for breeding?
My male finch has a swollen, watery eye, is clacking with his beak, his song is higher, he breathing with his mouth open, rocking back and forth on his perch although not distressed, just calmer than usual. Also the black spots at the top of his beak became thicker. What could this be? Thank you.
I have two happy male society finches in a cage approx 3 feet long and 14" wide, 24.5 inches high. Can I add a 3rd male. There's one that has been in the pet store for months. Awful. Tiny cage.
My zebra finch doesnt look well. She has a baldish patch on her head and is constantly sitting in in her nest. We think it may be due to winter but since shes the only one (out of 6 adults and 2 babies) who always in the nest except to eat and drink... we're really worried about her...
Hi my male zebra finch has not been normal for week oh so now he sleeping lots and not singing he is eating but the sleeping and not singing is really worrying me
I have two zebra finches that are parents to three eggs. Recently, the father died. What should I do since the mother bird will have to take care of three little birds on her own?
