My dog is old and has had several bad falls now on our laminate and tile floors. She just needs some traction to prevent her from slipping. There are many dog boots out there for hiking and what not. They seem like they would help her from slipping on the floor. Could she wear boots like that 24/7? Or at least most of the day? I could also buy a paw cream as well to prevent bad rubbing. Do you know of any boots specifically made for constant use? Or any other products she could benefit from?
Hello, I have a 7 year old black lab. He's a big boy who gets very hot in warm weather so likes to lie on the coolest surface he can find which is always hard. Consequently, he has callouses on his elbows but they have become a lot bigger this year and one of them looks sore. I just wondered what Ii could do to alleviate this problem. Storm recently got these rough dry looking patches on his pads and toes. There is one between them but it looks slightly connected. One spot is peeling off. Its on more than one paw. Hes been strictly indoors and i have no carpeting. He doesn't seem to be in pain when I touch them. What could this possibly be caused by? Treatments? What should i look for and when to take him to the vet?
Hi i have a 14 month old shepherd/rottweiler mix named rex he in the past couple days has started growing this lump on the right foot it has gotten very big and feels like it is water filled, no pain for rex as its being touched or him using the foot. He acts as if its not there, this worries me as he is my service dog in training and best friend. Thanks
Black spots French Bulldog
Have a spunky new rescue chihuahua mix and she is skittish. So much so she will resist any efforts to trim her nails. We have 4 dogs so I have trimmed nails hundreds of times--but with Ricki Ricardo, no luck. I sit on the floor and flip them over and cradle them between my legs. My wife distracts them with peanut butter on a spoon. Besides going to a groomer or vet, any ideas? I thought maybe a groomer table might help. Are there premium nail cutters of higher quality than store bought?
My dog is a maltese/poodle and about 6 yrs. old. He was a rescue from PetCo. We are not active people being in our 70's and have med. conditions but he sometimes gets a run but usually a mild walk. He has been chewing at his front legs to where they are discolored. At his last grooming his eyes became irritated from the eyebrows being shaved too close and he kept rubbing them so I washed them with a boric acid solution made for humans. They seem better but still have the hard gunk on the edges.
My dogs paws are red and she keeps licking them. Her mouth area and ears at a bit too.
