Bought this for holding food, water, bags, and diabetic supplies. It works well for the moment though I'm thinking of adding a handle to the back for easier carrying when the pup isn't wearing it.

My daughter got a puppy that was small enough to get out of the fence. She bought one of these and put a half piece of a pool noodle in each pocket. She chewed that one up while I was dog sitting at her house so I ran straight to PetCo and luckily, found another one on clearance. Saved me and the dog.

I got a large for my medium-sized, 50-lb dog Border Collie mix and it barely fit over his head. Trying to get it into place was a major hassle, aggravated even more when I tried to get it off of his head. I do not like this doggy backpack whatsoever, neither does my dog.

This is a lovely backpack! The colors are very bright, perfect for hiking so you can keep an eye on you little one. The pockets at each side are deep enough to keep a small water bottle, a small collapsible bowl or treats or sunblock. It runs a little small in the straps I would recommend sizing up. There is a strap that is suppose to go under tail but is it not really needed to keep the backpack in place.

Got the XL for my 72lb muscular Shephard Mix. At first I thought the straps were too small to wrap around his chest but finally figured out how to lengthen the straps. Great backpack and he loves wearing it because Vic knows we're in for a hike. It's very fashionable and has nice reflective material. 2 big side pockets are great for carrying items (it says has 4 pockets & access to poop bag but that's inaccurate but I like the 2 pockets better). Carrying a water bottle is really useful but vest tends to slide slightly to the side due to uneven weight of bottle. Doesn't seem to affect him though. Water comes in handy on our 1.5 mile hike after we both get thirsty! Highly recommend this vest!

Overall I am happy with this backpack. The fabric and stitching seems strong and well made. I was excited to try this for our very anxious dog who has difficulty walking because of anxiety. I used the backpack both empty and with water bottles for weight. The straps held in place well, and the weight did not shift the backpack around. I didn't like how awkward it is to get onto the dog, you actually have to make your dog step into it and fit it around the torso. With an extra added buckle the backpack would be able to lay across the top of the dog and then buckle under the torso instead of forcing an unwilling dog to step into the harness. But, that's truly a minor inconvenience. I'm not sure if the weight actually reduced my dog's anxiety, but I'll keep trying it and see! I received this product free in exchange for my honest review

This is a great and fun backpack for doggies! The colors are accurate to the picture. The backpack is easy to adjust to the right size and easy to put on. We have not gotten a chance to take it for a ride yet, but we are really looking forward to doggies carrying their own treats and waste bags on hikes and long walks. It pretty much fits like any other harness or coat.
