Can I bring my cat to petco to get fitted for a harness and leash
Hey. I have an indoor cat and I dont know that I'm completely comfortable letting him be indoor all his life in a tiny apartment. Now, I have bought a harness and leash designed for cats but I dont know how to teach a cat to walk on a leash or even be comfortable in a bubble bag. Hes terrified of going outside. When I tool him to the vet the other day and his heart was racing. How do I get him comfortable in these? I have tried Feliway, it just doesnt seem to work. What do I do?
Our puppy is 9.5 weeks old , got him a week and a half ago . He is energetic . We put him on a harness and a leash . He’s just sits down and doesn’t want to move . We even tried to entice him with treats ,he barely goes for the treat , he just comes and sits on our lap not wanting to move , once we take off harness and leash , he is back to his playing self , trying for 3 days now , any tips . We let him be on Harness and leash without us controlling it , but he sits still or sleeps . Any tips ?
PULLING: Off-leash, she walks alongside me. Outside, she wears a comfortable harness(pictured). •I stop and use sit command. If I verbally praise her, she jumps right back up and back to pulling. She doesn’t do treats. If I don’t praise her, she’ll stay until I begin to walk again and she’s back to pulling (repeating steps during entire walk). •Gentle leader. She will not walk and acts too ashamed.
I plan on taking Skye on a hike with me. She is on Revolution and has had her Leukemia vaccs. HI doesnt have ticks. Shes been in her harness before and has no problems with it. She will be kept on leash or in my carrier for her. What should I expect, look out for, be cautious for?
My 5 yrs. old Calico apartment cat used to a big place in my apartment , but I`m facing an upcoming surgery & I live all alone & I can`t find anyone to ta e my cat into their hose, therefore I1ll board her in a kennel & i`ma afraid she`ll go into a separation anxiety since she is used to a big place where she can walk & jump( her bladder is narrow) , but in the kennel not much space to move sound. I'm terribly afraid that Kazuya has hip dysplasia. In the last week, he has gotten progressively worse. He will only take 2 steps and sit sideways. Does anyone recommend a rear harness with handle for support? Also, which supplements are the most effective? I'm currently giving him Cosequin and another one called Infinite Pet Supplement. I am also monitoring his weight. Please help. I cannot have kids and my boys are my life. His brother is healthy.
My dog went to her first obedience class today. She is a 7 lb Malitpoo. The instructor has us use a choker collar for the first several sessions. She did really well and only had a couple of good pulls against my husband during the training session. I went to bathe her and noticed that the schlera on her right eye is red like a blood vessel has broken in it. She never goes outside without us and is always on a leash.
