AWFUL REDESIGN

I've used these for years to let my dog out into the backyard to go potty. They were easy to put on, kept her paws clean and did their job for a good price. She needed a new pair so I went to get new ones, and the redesign is TERRIBLE. They're now so tight, I can't even get her paw into the booty, even with the largest size. The old ones took about 5 seconds or less to put on each foot. The new ones are too stiff and the opening is so tiny that I can't imagine anyone getting their dogs' paws in if they're a larger dog. Please bring back the old design. They were a bit on the thinner side, but as long as your dog didn't run hard in them, they worked great. For the price point, they were the best offered. I will no longer be using these and cannot recommend them to anyone either.

Bleeding Legs

Nope

I would give 0 stars if possible. This new design is awful. They are too rigid to be able to put on easily, and when finally worn they are so rigid they chaff my dog’s skin to the point of bleeding. I do NOT recommend. Unfortunate because the old design worked so well and we loved them; in fact we wore out several pairs. Please bring back the old flexible boots.

I've also been buying the old one for years. The soft rubber was the only thing I got my dog to wear and move in. I'm so so sad the design changed. The new design is way too hard on their paws. I understand the brand probably got complaints about the old one ripping too fast but they over corrected. Please, bring the old ones back!

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. We truly understand how frustrating it can be when a trusted product changes. Your feedback about the comfort and usability of the previous design is incredibly valuable, and we’ll make sure it’s passed along to the team. We appreciate your loyalty over the years and hope we can find a solution that works just as well for your pup.

My dog was bleeding

I've been using the old Youly rainboots and they were great. The new ones looked promising with a thicker bottom which was the issue with the old one. We had to upsize since we couldn't get our dog's foot in the hole, but the larger size worked well. The sides were also tall enough so his dewclaws were all the way in. That was until his second walk with his new shoes, when we were so confused about why he was barely moving at all with them. He was bleeding. I felt so bad. The sides were so rigid that it ended up chafing his legs and cutting him. Thankfully, we caught it on his second walk. This was a terrible design.

Horrible redesign!

Why? Just WHY would you change something that was already good enough. The rubber is so THICK compared to the older design and my dogs’ paws do not fit through the opening. The older one was more flexible so it was easier to put it on. I use them to take my dogs to potty outside on rainy days. I’ve been using them for 2 years and now it’s good bye.

Youly dog rain boots

I’ve been purchasing these silicone boots for over 10years for my Yorkie. She wears them every single day and I’m scrambling to find a replacement. A recent design change went from a supple/flexible silicone to a rigid rubber upgrade. The upgrade on quality of the rubber is great however why change the opening dimensions so drastically? It went from approx. a 2” flexible boot opening to barely a 1” rigid opening on your XS size. I cannot get my dog’s paws through the opening, because the rigid rubber has absolutely no give. The old designed allowed me to very easily slip the boots on and tighten strap to secure . The new boot opening is so small, even for my Yorkie who has the thinness of paws.

Very cute but awkward size/shape

These look really cute, but the small size was too small for my 25 lb dog. Though it seems like his paw might fit, the top opening is very small. The velcro strap around the top doesn't actually do anything to adjust the size and the rubber is very thick so I think you would need very custom sizing for these to work

Can small Dogs like a 40 lb Corgie fit in medium boots?

  1. I have a small dog, Cody is 11.5 lbs. Cody has very skinny legs, but was still to fit them; however, he wouldn't keep them on lol. Hope this helps.
