So I got this for my 6 pound Yorkshire Terrier. The birthday hat that they make for dogs come in the size small/ medium and medium/large only. And the small/medium is way too big for my little dog. This little hat fits perfectly in between my dogs ears without pushing them down and making him uncomfortable like the larger hats do. (The diameter of the base of the hat excluding the pliable ruffles is 1 3/4”). The chinstrap is a bit too tight for my dog, which was expected since this is made for a gerbil. However, the way the chinstrap is sewn (see photo), I can snip the bottom part off and extend it with a longer piece so it can fit nicely. Or I can just stretch out the elasticity over time. So, if you’re like me, looking for a hat to fit a tiny dog, and don’t mind finagling a little bit with the item to make it perfect, then I would say this is a good choice. Probably even better if you’re buying this for your gerbil. :) I received this product for free from the Spotted by Petco sampling program in exchange for my honest review.

Very happy to find that this birthday hat fits on my chickens and ducks. The neck is adjustable enough that the hat worked for both my Bantam hen and my Swedish duck. If you are looking to dress up your birds, check this out!

This is a very cute accessory for a hamster. Unfortunately I got it thinking I could use it for my cat. It snapped after putting it on my cat only one time. Be careful when putting it on your animal because the elastic snaps.

This is the cutest little hat for your guinea pigs birthday! Or any little party. I got it to see if it would fit my rabbit Wallace, but its a no go sadly! Have no fear, this hat will fit a guinea pig no problem.
