I purchased this yesterday on clearance at Petco. For $10 a steal but regular price $40 not so much. Used the button on the front today to hold the door up while I put my pet in. As soon as I tried to unbuckle it the whole button on the screen came off. Not worth $40, invest in better quality for that price.

Do Not Use with Dwarf Hamsters

It's a decent product and seems fairly durable, but feels a little overpriced for how tiny it is. Unfortunately, my Djungarian hamster's teeth were just small enough that she could wedge them in the mesh and start chewing. It didn't last more than ten minutes before she started making holes. Luckily my vet was nearby, but I definitely wouldn't recommend leaving a hamster unattended in this carrier while you get ready to leave for the vet like you can do with cats and dogs.
I didn't like the hard plastic insert that was in the carrier, but I'm guessing it was to protect the bottom from being peed on or something. I used nesting fluff to get her off the plastic and give her something cozy she could hide in if she wanted. I don't know how welll this carrier would do for larger hamsters, but I would definitely avoid it with your dwarf hamster.

super pricey for the function but had to bring my chinchilla upstate on a 7 hour drive, he was calm but inside the whole time and was happy he could see out through the plastic part.

Super compact and easy to handle

Love this little bag. It is super compact and easy to carry from almost every angle. I especially love how it fits perfectly in the front seat because it makes it easy to buckle in my kitten and keep her protected on our rides. The bag is soft and adaptable. The only thing I dislike about the bag is that there is a cord inside that does not seem to go to anything, so I let it hang under through the zipper part of the bag. Not a big deal but it’d be nice if I knew it’s purpose.

Is this a good size for a 10 week old holland lop with a strong dwarf gene? She is about 11.5 oz./ 2/3 of a lb.
