It’s easier than other cages to assemble but it is very cheaply made. The wire platforms DO BREAK. My rat broke off a nail because an end of the wire broke loose. If you buy this cage I would suggest replacing the attachments inside to prevent harm

FRICK this cage. Baby rats toe got STUCK in bars.
I'm beyond mad. My baby rat was in his cage tonight when he started squeeling-crying and moving bizarrely. LUCKILY I was right there so I ran to see that his finger was actually caught in the corner of the bars, because of the was the panels connect.
Luckily the baby let me gave him basic first aid. I'm worried he might get an infection. He could have lost that toe.
I was looking for a new cage when I came across this DANGEROUS WASTE OF MONEY. FRICK this cage. I'm going to call the manufacturer but Petco should be aware of this.
Story was originally twice as long but this shoddy website glitched. Take care of your pets and check reviews, y'all!

I bought this a bit ago, and it was going well, despite the struggle to set it up. I liked it until my mouse escaped from said cage. This product sucked. I looked for my mouse for a while; thankfully, I found him, but it scared me half to death.

Pain in the but to put together
This is a well put together cage I don’t find the doors small the bedding pan is well made. The only thing it’s a pain to put together. It took me 2 hours to put together I don’t like that everything is wire and it not good for rats I plan on covering them. Also my shovel does fit in so it will be easy to clean.

Not impressed
I bought 3 of these cages had to bring 2 back because there were issues with the cage. I finally kept the 3rd one because I needed a cage and didnt have time to get another. I have had it 6 months and it's already rusting. One of the doors has to be held closed with a zip tie because it's too loose and I dont want my rat getting out. I'm not impressed. For the price I would order a nicer better powder coated cage that wont rust within 6 months. If I could return it and get my money back I would in a heartbeat.

Thinking of getting this as a "mobile" home for my rats (like, when I go visit my brother for Thanksgiving.) They (2 spoiled rats) have a huge cage at home. Would this fit in a cars back seat? And can you lift it "loaded"?
- It's too tall to fit fully assembled in a car.(possibly could fit in SUV) It's has handles to carry it, and can be carried but it's not an easy lift, it's pretty heavy.

Does anyone have exact measurements of the door size on this cage? Also, from the picture it looks like there are two doors on the front of the cage. Is that correct? Are there only two doors total or am I just not seeing the other ones?

So how does the bottom frame connect to the cage?
- There are 4 metal tabs welded to the bottom metal pan, 2 on each end. The wire cage slides under them one side then you gently push the other side inward enough so cage slides past and under the tabs. It's simple, but effective. I've had 2 rat manors over the last 7 years. I would recommend it.

Is it easy to clean?
- It’s easy to clean if you have like thick clothes on each level bc if you pet your pet roam it with out clothes then they can develop bumble foot ( really bad and painful for them ) other than that super easy
