Great quality cage, but perches don't fit

Heidi22

This is a solid, well built cage. The perches that come with are useless. They aren't cut to fit the cage, and repeatedly fell no matter how I positioned them throughout the cage. I ended up returning the cage because of this.

Not well though out design

Just bought this the other day along with another one. Don't buy unless your bird is super tame and friendly. It's not good if you have even a slightly skittish bird. Sometimes you have to get the bird out and if your bird is nervous, you're not getting her out out of this cage easily because perches are oriented front to back. Also the door makes too much noise opening closing and can startle birds. When the cage door is facing you, the perches should go left to right instead front to back. On the Petco site, you will see a similar cage with a pointed roof. Buy that one instead(was on sale). perches go left to right and the door is quiet. When I had her in that one, it was easy to get her out. Now she's stuck in the one with rounded roof. Not well thought out.

New Budgies Parent

I bought this beautiful scallop dome shaped portable cage on April 18, 2023 for my mom. Perfect for 2 budgie parakeets. They love it. It is easy to clean and lightweight enough to carry around and perfect size to take it to different places.

I bought this beautiful scallop dome shaped cage on April 18, 2023 for Mom. It is a fully functional lightweight cage. Perfect fit for Mom's 2 new Budgie Parakeets. Easy to clean, and carry to any room of the house or with us on a road trip or to visit other people. Recommending it to everyone who love to have one or two new pet bird(s) to enjoy and have them as friends.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Perfect size for Henry

Henry and Hugo needed a little time apart. Lol. So, we bought this extra bird cage to give them their own space. Its worked well. They have plenty of room and can still " talk" to each other. These little budgies love their cages.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Way too small for a parakeet

Budgie parent

This cage is way too small for a parakeet. Sure, they fit in there. But once you put in the perches and toys they need for mental stimulation, there is absolutely no room for them to stretch their wings and fly. Flight is so important for them physically and mentally. I use this cage as a travel cage now. I bought the large conure cage to use as the actual sleep cage for my budgie (parakeet). And I still let him out every day for laps around the room.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Need a smaller cage? This will do.

The canary lady

All of a sudden I have 9 canaries...ok...there were 11, but two got out of their cages last year. The last couple of weeks a one year old male in a cage with a one year old female and his mother started bickering with from a higher perch at his mother! I read he is trying to be the alpha male and will eventually harm whomever he is not happy with. I was off Monday and needed that cage. He looks just fine sitting way up high by himself.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Can I spray paint over the original paint in white and what would be a recommended spray paint. I was told about the rust-oleum american accents 2x ultra cover gloss clear spray paint.

    place of origin?????????

    1. Hi hamza, These are made in China. Thanks,

I have been having trouble with my parakeet squeezing between the bars of his current cage. I contacted the pet store I got it from and they will not refund or exchange for one that has smaller spaced bars. What is the spacing of the bars on this one?

    1. I use this cage for my 2 parakeets for sleep cage and have no problems them trying to get out .I also have cockatiels that use this cage ( one bird per cage) for sleep time just got another cockatiel so am planning on getting another of these as I do not like the door of his cage that came with him I really do not like the doors that slide up and down they are ok for food dishes ,but none of my birds eat at the bottom of the cage

i currently have one bird but i’m planning to get another so if i buy another cage it would just be for the new bird to quarantine in but i would no longer need it after. so i was just wondering what is the refund & return policy for this item?

My neighbor gave me this cage and the single budgie. He assembled it so i cannot pull out the tray. Could you send me the diagram on the tray installation? PLEASE

      1. Hi Meg58, We sent you an email about this. Thanks,

Is the grate in the bottom of this cage removable?

      1. Hi MrsB72315, Manufacturer’s instructions show the bottom grate is removable. Please see instruction manual for details on assembling and disassembling. https://assets.petco.com/petco/image/upload/you-and-me-2431007-instructions.pdf?_gl=1*gu0cxv*_ga*MzM4NzQ0ODc2LjE1NDkzMjYxMTA.*_ga_3WR3LVE2JB*MTYzNDE2NDI5MC4zNTIuMS4xNjM0MTY3MTU1LjUw Thanks,

Are the cage wires close enough together to have 2 zebra finches in the cage? Thanks!

      1. Hi tabbsmarie, The cage size is 16.5*11.8*22 (inch), the distance between the bars is 10mm. Thanks,

      Can this cage be hung?

      1. Yes, easily. I prefer it with the other animals about.

Would this be too small for a parakeet? I am planning to buy one but I am not sure if this is big enough.

      1. Although this cage is marketed for parakeets, if you do your research, you will find that it is way too small as a full time cage. It is generally suggested that you get the biggest cage you can afford. Birds need enough room to stretch their wings and have room to fly in their cage.  I use this cage as a travel cage and bought the large, conure cage as my parakeet’s full time cage.  If you buy a cage that is too small, you risk having a depressed bird. (Imagine being locked in a small room yourself with no room to walk around). Budgies (parakeets) are super smart creatures.

Is this cage wire only or coated with grey plastic?

      1. Hi Mo and Marty The cage is made of metal steel and coated by powder. The powder's main ingredient is epoxy polyester resin. Thanks,
