Hi there! I was just wondering, what is a preening toy for birds?
I have a young male lovebird that is fairly trained but still getting used to me. He has mirrors, chew toys, etc. in his cage and I even leave the tv on when I leave for school, but he seems to not stop yelling. He’s very social and has lived with other birds before so I’m wondering if I should get another bird. If so, what gender? I have a pretty big cage. I don’t want any mating or fighting but I still want them to bond with me. I’m a new bird owner. What should I do?

My budgie is making funny squeaking noises
We have a budgie that is about 1-2 years old. We've had her for about a year now. When she got used to her new home she felt happy and didn't show any signs of depression. Now she started making these very squeaky noises and looking at her mirror even more than she used to before. To me it looks like she wants a mate but we can't really afford one. My Amazon Bandit needs a larger cage. I am hesitant to purchase a new cage as the one he has is too small. Descriptions do not indicate the spacing of the bats. Additionally there are no toys in cages to help identify which cage is best. I inherited Bandit and he throws pellets out of feed dish and doesn't seem to care for food that came with him. Suggestions?
