Would you recommend this for one cockatiel?
- Being an “intermediate” bird owner I honestly think this cage would be small for a cockatiel, but a budgie or any bird smaller would be okay! The doors seem short for a cockatiel’s size and long tail, to get them in and out. Hope this helps!

Where can I buy a stand for this cage? Same vage with stand sold by Yaheetech, but they refuse to sell stand only. Buying a matching stand for this cage is a headache!
- Amazon or eBay has stands. They are for the mcage same size. They have 2, 3, and 4 shelves to choose from.

What type of door is this.
- All three front doors slide up? easy access. There is one on the side that is tension closed that just opens to the side. The three front doors do not lock. If your bird is an escape artist, they can get out. My love birds raise it up and down so that it clangs like it just opened but they never get out.

would this work for a pet rat
- It's definitely on the smaller side for a rat, having had 4 myself. Typically, they'll need more height than this cage because they love to climb around so much. BUT, it could work for a single, more sedentary older boy rat, I would imagine! :3

Is this cage big enough for a parakeet?
- this would be the minimal size cage for one parakeet. if this one doesn't work look for cages that are longer then it's tall.

what gauge is the wire?
- Not real sure on the gauge of the wire. I keep my pet rats in them and it holds them secure. My cats jump on top of it and it doesn't bend.

- I think it is 1/2 inch? Perfect for small finches.

Is this cage a good size for 6 society finches?
- Yes! It's the perfect size for one of two parakeets. This is my Cookie's cage & he LOVES it! :D It has plenty of room for him to hop & fly around. It also has plenty of room for extra perches, I took out the ones it came with & use natural perches, and toys! :D

I have 4 finch birds and 1 flew away recently but came back after 2 weeks but it was huddled to 1 side only with puffed up feathers and squinting eyes it is cold at night and hot in the morning. And today I found 2 of the finches dead. I have cats as pets too will this affect them and us? I have cleaned up the cages and removed both other birds to another cage.

I have two parakeets in a large cage. I just purchased another one and brought it home. When I opened the box, the bird flew away. it's been 2 hours and i can't get the bird in the cage? She keeps flying away. She is onto of cabinet. So I am leaving her alone for now. I am hoping when she gets hungry, she will be easy to catch. What do i do?
Hello so my two parakeets (budgies) are sitting at the corner of the cage huddled together with their head tucked into their backs and whenever they are active they just climb up the sides of the cage or try to fly on a perch but drop to the bottom.
I had two budgies, both rescues about a month ago. One has recently passed away and the one that is left, Icarus, seems lonely. They got along perfectly and had a unique relationship. Icarus is pretty mean, bitey and fisety so I am a little worried with getting another budgie that will get beat up. Would another budgie be the best option or would a larger parakeet be better. A bourke or kakariki is what I was thinking. Thanks.
So I have three parakeets. The blue ones are both younger. I got a female for my blue male and then needed to upgrade to a bigger cage for them so I found someone who was selling a big cage wth a parakeet that came with the cage. He is green and is prob about 4 or 5 years old. When we got him he had a busted out beak. Where his left nose hole should be it was all crushed in. I think the younger ones pecked out his broken nose now don't no what to do

Hi, Just bought 2 adorable pet budgies on Sunday. I'm aware I need to give them time to be comfortable, I've only put my hand near them and stroked them a bit so far.
